Hulk Hogan’s Funeral Details
Hogan’s funeral was a celebration of his life and was attended by many guests, although his daughter Brooke Hogan did not participate. Instead, she chose to have a private celebration for her father on the beach. She revealed why she did this in an Instagram post on August 6. In the post, she informed fans that Hogan did not want a funeral.
“My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want one,” she wrote. “And although I know people grieve in many ways – and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how. Privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him.”
Hogan’s funeral program, obtained by Us Weekly, honored him as both a WWE legend and a family man. “As a devoted family man, Terry cherished time with his loved ones,” the program read, Us Weekly reports. “He was a proud father of Brooke and Nick, a stepfather to Maddox, Hayden and Leighton, and embraced his role as a loving husband to Sky. Your spirit will forever be part of the wrestling world and your legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of fans around the world.”
