‘I Dream of Jeannie’ Fans Have Two Chances To Meet Barbara Eden In September

Fans of Barbara Eden can meet the television icon face-to-face if they grab tickets to one of her upcoming convention appearances next month. The 94-year-old will appear at two different events, one in Burbank, California and one in Salt Lake City.

Eden charmed audiences all over the world with her endearing portrayal of a genie named “Jeannie” in the delightfully silly 1965 NBC sitcom that featured the tale of a NASA astronaut who discovers the magical beauty trapped in her bottle on a deserted island. Barbara Eden Convention Appearances: Tickets & Details

Eden’s official website says she will be at The Hollywood Show on Saturday, September 6. The event, which will take place at the Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel and Convention Center, is billed as “the ultimate autograph and and pop culture expo where we bring the stars to you.” Organizers says Eden will deliver an “exclusive narration” reflecting on her “I Dream of Jeannie” character to be followed by a Q&A session. Fans have the opportunity to purchase VIP access and photo ops.

The other meet-and-greet opportunity with Eden will be at Fan X in Salt Lake City, Utah. The “Visions of Terror” actress will appear on the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday dates of the convention, which runs from September 25 to 27.

Barbara Eden Celebrated 94th Birthday on August 23

The Arizona native’s team helped her celebrate turning 94 by asking fans to post their birthday wishes in the comments of an X post.

Hundreds of fans replied to send their love. One wrote, “A wonderful birthday to you, Ms. Eden!”

Another shared a sweet story about how the entertainer was his first crush. He also called her “a tremendous comedic actress, and a nice and classy woman.”

“Wishing you a very happy birthday. Hope you are surrounded by family and friends (and cake) on your special day,” wrote someone else.

Eden’s birthday comes 20 days after the loss of her close friend, fellow sitcom actress Loni Anderson. She previously said on X that she was “absolutely stunned and heartbroken” at the death of her friend.

Soap Central says Anderson previously talked about her and Eden’s friendship in an interview with Baltimore Media Blog, saying, “I call Barbara and I the giggle sisters. We met doing Bob Hope specials years ago. We’ve continued that friendship for years.”
