“My favorite band playing my favorite song” – David Letterman. That’s what the talk show legend told the world when he returned from open heart surgery back in February 2000. On his final Late Show, Letterman told the world about how the Foo Fighters canceled a tour in South America to return to New York City to be part of his comeback special. Then for Letterman’s final show, it was no surprise that Dave Grohl and the boys would be called on again. This performance was heard while pictures and short clips of some of Dave’s best moments were played on screen.
