David Hasselhoff Spotted Using Wheelchair

While at the Los Angeles International Airport on May 7, David Hasselhoff was spotted being pushed in a wheelchair, which prompted questions about his health. He was also spotted limping.

He gave a smile and a thumbs-up to the cameras, telling the paparazzi, “I’m having knee surgery next week,” per Page Six.

The outlet also shared photos of Hasselhoff in the wheelchair.

His wife, Hayley Roberts, was at the airport with him as the couple was returning from a trip.

The news of his surgery was confirmed by Us Weekly shortly after.

“He was seen in a wheelchair because he’s having a knee replacement surgery next week,” the actor’s representative told Us Weekly.

With these concerning photos of Hasselhoff in a wheelchair, a Daily Mail insider also gave a health update about the actor.

“David is living on borrowed time and has lived hard,” a source close to Hasselhoff told the outlet. “He had a life that people could only dream of, but he also spent decades self-medicating through alcohol and other substances, which he does regret.”

“He is in his 70s and has had several major operations, including having a defibrillator fitted to prevent a heart attack,” they added. “He is sober now but knows that every surgery could be the last.”

Pamela Bach, who was married to Hasselhoff from 1989 to 2006, passed away at the age of 62 due to suicide.

Following her death, the actor released a statement to TMZ.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

However, when mourners gathered for Bach’s funeral at the end of March, Hasselhoff was absent according to TMZ.

Along with being married for 17 years, Hasselhoff and Bach share two children, Taylor Ann Hasselhoff-Fiore (35) and Hayley Hasselhoff (33).
