Dannielynn Birkhead Stuns in Photos Wearing Mom Anna Nicole Smith’s Dress at Kentucky Derby

Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn Birkhead channeled her mom by wearing one of the late star’s dresses to a pre-Kentucky Derby event.

Birkhead has been photographed at the Derby many times growing up, but this time she turned heads by donning the black and silver gown once worn by her mom.

According to her dad’s Instagram page, Birkhead wore the dress while attending the Barnstable Brown Gala on Friday, May 2, 2025. The Kentucky Derby kicks off on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Birkhead’s dad, Larry Birkhead, shared a series of photos showing Dannielynn wearing the dress on his Instagram page.

“Kicking off @kentuckyderby weekend with Dannielynn. First up, The Barnstable-Brown Gala. Dannielynn is wearing Anna Nicole’s dress that she wore 21 years ago to this same event. Life full circle. She said she chose the dress because it was her Mom’s and ‘super cool,'” he wrote on Instagram.

“Next up the Kentucky Derby races. We are glad to spend time with my niece Chloe (pictured). I am going to try not an embarrass them with my dance moves,” he added.

Smith’s daughter is now an adult. Her dad shared a tribute to her for her 18th birthday, which was in September 2024.

“Dannielynn had a great time celebrating her 18th birthday with friends and family by attending the @beetlejuiceafterlife.exp and @beetlejuicemovie which made for an out of this world experience. Of course, Dannielynn found a Hot Topic store to get a spooky outfit for all the fun ! 😆 Happy 18th Birthday Dannielynn!” he wrote with that post.

Larry Birkhead shared a video for her birthday, writing, “Happy 18th Birthday Dannielynn! You are my entire heart. I love you more than I can ever express. May you continue on your journey being ‘humble and kind’ and spread the love that you were given to many others. I am beyond proud of you.” The video shows different images of Dannielynn growing up.

He also shared a photo showing his daughter with a cardboard cutout of actor Hugh Jackman.

“All Dannielynn wanted for Christmas was Hugh Jackman under the tree. Since he wasn’t available, the next best thing had to do. Dannielynn got tickets to see @thehughjackman ‘s Broadway Show, “From New York With Love,” at @radiocitymusichall,” Larry Birkhead wrote.
