Blake Lively broke her silence following a big legal win, after a judge officially dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against her. The “Gossip Girl” alum took to Instagram with a deeply personal message, expressing both gratitude and resolve to keep standing up for women’s rights.

“Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women’s rights to speak up for their safety,” Lively, 37, wrote on Monday, June 9. “Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us.”
She added, “While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back.”
Blake Says She’ll Never Stop Advocating For Women
Blake didn’t just celebrate her victory — she used the moment to shine a light on those still in the fight.

“I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story,” she wrote.
Lively also pointed her followers to several advocacy groups she stands with, including the National Network to End Domestic Violence and the National Organization for Women.

“With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know. Many of you I don’t,” she added. “But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you. — B.”
Judge Tosses Justin Baldoni’s Claims Against Lively, Reynolds, and NYT
On the same day as Lively’s post, Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed Baldoni’s high-stakes libel lawsuit not only against her but also against her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane. The court also tossed a $250 million claim against The New York Times.
The judge did leave the door open for Baldoni’s legal team to amend two claims by June 23, but it was a significant win for Lively and her co-defendants.

Lively and Baldoni have been locked in a tense legal battle since December 2024, following her accusations that Baldoni created a hostile and unsafe working environment during the filming of “It Ends With Us”. Baldoni denied all allegations and filed a countersuit in January 2025, targeting Lively, Reynolds, and others.
Lively’s team celebrated the outcome, telling US Weekly: “Today’s opinion is a total victory and a complete vindication for Blake Lively, along with those that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties dragged into their retaliatory lawsuit, including Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane, and The New York Times.”
The trial is scheduled to begin in March 2026.
