Ben Affleck Makes Sincere Statement About Ex in Interview

Whenever a celebrity is single, fans sometimes go a little overboard in their desire to pair them up. We want to see them happy, and in the minds of many, being in love or a relationship is the key to happiness.

But in some cases, they’ve already been a relationship everyone admired. Despite splitting up, that flicker of hope remains that they’ll reunite. In a recent interview, Ben Affleck’s earnest and sincere words about his ex, Jennifer Garner, sparked renewed hopes for many fans of the former couple.

Ben Affleck Considers Himself ‘Lucky’

The public is fascinated with Affleck’s life, but he’s yet to really understand why. “There’s nothing newsworthy at all about the day-to-day events of my life or the conversation I have with one person or another person that’s photographed,” he told GQ. He recalled a specific, repeated occurrence with his kids from his days married to Jennifer Garner.

We used to have a thing, my ex-wife [Garner] and I, when they would see something on a supermarket stand, we would say, well, ‘You know this isn’t always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever the number of stories is where they said that your mom was pregnant.'”

He continued, “And I’m really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great, and we work together well.” This recollection seemed to remind Affleck that he’s fortunate to have had someone like Garner in his life, both past and present.

The Former Couple Has a Strong Bond

While Affleck recently divorced Jennifer Lopez, Garner has been dating John Miller since 2018. Some sources have claimed Miller is upset with the former couple’s closeness. Others say everything is fine between him and Garner. Some sources claim Miller understands the bond Garner and Affleck share. Miller has kids with his ex-wife, Caroline Campbell, so he would know how important a good co-parenting relationship is.

Maybe it’s because we’re not used to couples getting along so well after divorcing, but every time the two are photographed together, fans’ hope for a reunion is reignited. Whether Garner stops by his place on his birthday or the two look chummy during a paintball outing with their son, we naturally wonder if it means more.
