Arnold Schwarzenegger Makes Rare Comment About Ex-Wife Maria Shriver

Arnold Schwarzenegger made a rare comment about his ex-wife Maria Shriver.

Schwarzenegger, who shares four kids with the former California First Lady and news anchor, made the comment when appearing at Amazon’s 2025 Upfront Presentation in New York, according to E! News.

Divorce can be tough, but Schwarzenegger made it clear that he was still able to see humor in the situation and maintain a positive attitude. Over the years, he has spoken of retaining love for Shriver.

His most recent comment about Shriver came up when he was asked about his classic film, “Jingle All the Way.”

According to E! News, Schwarzenegger, 77, said, “’Jingle All the Way ‘was the greatest Christmas movie of all time. They play it the whole month of December. I know because my ex-wife calls me about the residual.”

The site noted that Schwarzenegger appeared to be teasing.

It’s the first time in more than 1.5 years that Schwarzenegger has made any comment about his ex, the site reported.

The actor has previously made it clear that he takes ownership for the marriage ending, and that he made a mistake.

“Because remember, it’s not like we had a feud. We didn’t have a fight. It’s just my f— up, right? She said, ‘Okay, this is what it is,’ and then she decided to make a split, so it was her decision. But the fact is, we always made it very clear that the kids should not suffer because of that,” he said in 2023, according to People.

Schwarzenegger has spoken positively about Shriver, telling People he still has love for her because of all they have shared together.

“So everything is kind of just as if we’re together but we have separate lives,” Schwarzenegger told People in 2023. “And she has her things, her relationship, I have mine, but we always communicate about the kids, about the holidays, about birthday parties and Mother’s Day parties and Christmas. My chapter with Maria will continue on forever. Even though it’s a different relationship, there’s no reason for me to feel anything other than love for her.”
