Captioning the post, “🇮🇹 Venice 👉 Florence 👉 Sardinia 🇮🇹,” the actress gave fans a rare glimpse into her personal world. Another standout moment was Larter showing off a blue string bikini, posing with the effortless glamour fans have always loved.

Though Larter is best known for her work on screen, the actress keeps her family life mostly private. This summer, however, she treated fans to snapshots of her children while traveling abroad.
Her son Theodore, 13, and daughter Vivienne, 10, joined her on a scenic trip that took them through some of Italy’s most iconic cities.

Larter rose to fame in Hollywood as a scream queen, but at home, she is simply mom. “It’s figuring out that balance and somehow trying to find some time for your husband and for work — and for yourself,” she told People in 2015 about adjusting to motherhood after welcoming her second child.
Ali & Hayes MacArthur’s Love Story & Family Life
The actress met her husband, actor Hayes MacArthur, while working on National Lampoon’s Stoned Age in the early 2000s. Sparks flew quickly, with Larter later admitting to Cosmopolitan (As quoted by People) that she told him within three weeks she wanted to marry him. The couple wed in 2009 and welcomed Theodore in December 2010, followed by Vivienne in January 2015.
Moving to Idaho & Balancing Career With Parenthood
In 2020, Larter and MacArthur decided to move their children from Los Angeles to Sun Valley, Idaho, in search of a quieter lifestyle.
By 2024, the actress was splitting her time between Idaho and Texas while filming her Paramount+ drama Landman, in which she plays Angela Norris, a mother of two.
Reflecting on her differences from her on-screen character, Larter told Schön! magazine in 2025, “We’re complete opposites when it comes to motherhood. Angela’s approach is endearing because she’s trying, but it’s so far from the way I parent. For me, it was about trusting the process and embracing this very different perspective on motherhood.”
