So, who did Liza end up with? Charles or Josh?
The open-ended finale of ‘Younger’ left fans wanting more. “Younger” first hooked fans a decade ago with its irresistible premise — a 40-year-old single mom passing herself off as 26 to restart her career.

The hit series wrapped after seven seasons in 2021. But now, thanks to Netflix, “Younger” is back in the spotlight.
A new wave of viewers — along with longtime fans — are falling for Sutton Foster’s Liza all over again.
The ensemble cast of the hit series includes Charles (Peter Hermann), Josh (Nico Tortorella), Kelsey (Hilary Duff), and the unforgettable Diana Trout (Miriam Shor)—the boss you want to hate but end up loving!
Would Darren Star Do a Revival?
So, could more “Younger” be on the way? According to series creator Darren Star — yes! In a recent interview with Deadline, Star said, “I would do some sort of revival. It’s something I would be very excited to pursue, and just in these conversations I’ve had with the cast, it’s something they would be excited to do if the timing was right for everyone.”

He also praised the cast’s incredible chemistry: “It was a real, delightful experience for all of us to make that show together.”
Why ‘Younger’ Is Perfect for a Comeback
The series’ “open-ended” finale left plenty of room for a new chapter.
“It wasn’t a definitive choice, but there is definitely a full circle feeling to it,” Star shared. In fact, he’s already thinking about a follow-up: “I do think that there’s a lot of story; there’s a new chapter for those characters.”
How Netflix Gave Younger a Major Boost
Star always believed “Younger” was made for streaming: “Every episode ended on a cliffhanger and felt very streamable and bingeable,” he explained.
While the show aired on Hulu and Paramount+ in the past, it never reached the same level of success until Netflix added it to its library.

Star admitted he was surprised when Younger landed in Netflix’s Top 10 comedies earlier this year: “It does speak to the power of Netflix and the algorithm.”
What’s Next for Younger?
For now, nothing official is in the works — but Star’s enthusiasm, along with the cast’s excitement and renewed fan demand, keep the possibility very much alive.

All seven seasons of Younger are now available to stream on Netflix. And if Star gets his wish, season 8 just might be in the cards.
