While Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives” delivers scandal, secrets & steamy twists on screen, the cast’s real-life relationships are just as intriguing. In a few cases, even more surprising.
Based on the novel by May Cobb, the series follows Sophie O’Neil (Brittany Snow) as she’s drawn into the magnetic orbit of Margo Banks (Malin Akerman) and her elite circle in East Texas.

Though “The Hunting Wives” dives into messy friendships, social politics, and steamy relationships, the actors’ real-life love stories range from longtime marriages to under-the-radar romances.
Malin Akerman

Malin Akerman, who plays queen bee Margo Banks, is married to actor Jack Donnelly. The two wed in 2018 in Tulum, Mexico, after meeting through Akerman’s sister. “I had known him for the past four years but didn’t see him,” she said on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
“Then all of a sudden… I went, ‘Wow, have you always been this cute?’”
Malin Akerman is best known for her breakout role as Silk Spectre II in “Watchmen” and has charmed audiences in hit films like “27 Dresses”, “Couples Retreat”, and “The Heartbreak Kid”. She’s also shown her range in cult favorites like “The Final Girls” and the musical comedy “Rock of Ages”.
Brittany Snow

Brittany Snow, who stars as Sophie O’Neil, is currently keeping her dating life private. She was previously married to Selling the OC’s Tyler Stanaland, tying the knot in 2020 before finalizing their divorce in July 2023. “All I’m trying to do is focus on myself and tune out the noise,” she told People magazine in 2023.
Oscar-Winning Couple: Jaime Ray Newman & Guy Nattiv

Jaime Ray Newman, who plays Callie, is married to Oscar-winning filmmaker Guy Nattiv. The couple tied the knot in 2012 and are parents to two daughters.

They even collaborated on the Academy Award–winning short film “Skin”, with Newman producing and Nattiv directing.
Katie Lowes

Katie Lowes, who plays Jill, has been married to actor Adam Shapiro since 2012. Parents to two children, the couple credits couples therapy and humor for keeping their relationship strong.
“If therapy is in the word, we’re doing it,” Lowes told People magazine.
Chrissy Metz

Chrissy Metz, who plays Starr, is in a relationship but chooses to keep it off social media. “You have to keep some things for yourself,” she said in an April 2025 interview with Parade. During a visit to her boyfriend’s family in Nigeria, she shared, “They are the most beautiful, special, wonderful people.”
Alexandria DeBerry
Alexandria, who plays Margo’s friend Taylor, is married to pro baseball pitcher Tyler Beede. Together since 2014, the couple married in 2017 and have two children.
Dermot Mulroney

Dermot Mulroney, who stars as Margo’s husband, Jed Banks, filed for divorce in June 2025 from Prima Apollinaare, his wife of 15 years.

They share two daughters.
And, Surprise: Evan Jonigkeit
Evan Jonigkeit, who plays Sophie’s husband Graham, has been married to “Girls” actress Zosia Mamet since 2016.
The couple met in 2013 while starring in the play “Really Really” and initially kept their relationship secret. “We did a lot of gaslighting,” Mamet joked on Today.
