It’s the end of an era for “Queer Eye” fans! Netflix has officially announced that the Emmy-winning series will come to an end after Season 10. Yes, it’s a sad, sad day for anyone who found joy, hope, and maybe spilled a few tears watching the beloved Fab Five transform lives across the country.
The news follows confirmation that Season 10 will be the show’s last. Production is already underway in Washington, D.C. “Queer Eye,” which became Netflix’s longest-running unscripted original, shared the announcement on social media with a powerful image of the cast at the Lincoln Memorial.
The show is a reboot of the 2003 Bravo hit “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” which ran for four seasons; both created by David Collins. A special team of experts, known as the Fab Five, guides participants through personal and lifestyle transformations.
Who Are the Fab Five?
This version of the Fab Five includes culture expert Karamo Brown, fashion icon Tan France, food and drink specialist Antoni Porowski, grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness, and newest member Jeremiah Brent, who replaced longtime interior designer Bobby Berk in Season 9.
“10 seasons. Fab Five. One last go ’round. The final season of QUEER EYE is officially in production!” the show wrote in its Instagram announcement.
Since its 2018 Netflix debut, “Queer Eye” has delivered deeply emotional, feel-good episodes while covering ground across cities like Philadelphia, Kansas City, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Austin. The show has been a critical darling all over the country, earning 37 Emmy nominations and winning Outstanding Structured Reality Program six years in a row.
Van Ness marked the moment by posting a photo from D.C. on Instagram, writing, “Season 10, the final season ❤️ We are so excited to bring this season to you, and excited for what’s next.”
Fans React to the Surprise Announcement
The cancellation hit hard, and that’s putting it very lightly. Fans flooded social media with love for the Fab Five and grief over the unexpected announcement. One commented, “I’ll rewatch every episode and cry like it’s the first time!” Another wrote, “FINAL SEASON???? 😭😭😭😭😭 But but but but… The world is better with Queer Eye magic in it!”

It’s been a long, beautiful journey we’ve been on, and I truly appreciate all of the love and support for our little show that changed my life in ways I never thought possible. As we begin our farewell season here in D.C., I simply want to say thank you! Thank you!!!!! ❤️”
While Netflix has yet to explain the decision as to why the series is ending so suddenly, fans can take solace in knowing these wonderful humans have one last season left to shine!
We’ll miss you, Fab Five!
