Millie Bobby Brown may be saying goodbye to her breakout role as Eleven on “Stranger Things,” but she isn’t parting ways with Netflix just yet. The actress has officially signed on for another major project with the streamer. This time around, she’s putting dragons and swords aside for something a little bit more charming and romantic. In the new venture, she will star in “Just Picture It,” co-starring Gabriel LaBelle.
The film will be directed by Lee Toland Krieger, who’s best known for helming Blake Lively’s “The Age of Adaline,” “Celeste and Jesse Forever,” and “The Vicious Kind.”
Millie Bobby Brown & Gabriel LaBelle
In case LaBell isn’t on your radar just yet, you may recognize him for his role in Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical film “The Fabelmans.” Safe to say that he is also no stranger to prestigious projects. In 2023, he portrayed “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels in Jason Reitman’s “Saturday Night.” It was a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “SNL’s” first episode starring Nichols Braun, Kaia Gerber, Cory Michael Smith, and more.
Brown, on the other hand, has a strong track record with Netflix. This year alone, she starred in “The Electric State” opposite Chris Pratt, and last year she both starred in and produced “Damsel.” She also recently wrapped production on “Enola Holmes 3,” previously working with Jude Law, Helena Bonham Carter, and Henry Cavill.
Brown will be returning as Eleven one final time this November for the first installment of the final season of “Stranger Things.” The final chapter will roll out in three exciting and long-awaited parts. Part 1 drops on November 26, Part 2 on December 25, and the series will conclude with Part 3 on December 31.
Outside of acting, the 21-year-old has also been busy running her beauty brand and recently celebrated her wedding to Jake Bongiovi, son of music legend Jon Bon Jovi. The couple tied the knot in 2024.
A Return to Netflix
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Just Picture It,” written by Jesse Lasky, follows two college students who are thrown into a surreal situation when their phones begin to glitch. They suddenly begin to show photos of themselves ten years in the future. The twist? The images depict them happily married with children…even though they’ve never met! Talk about a wild trip!
Lasky has built his career in television, initially writing for “The Late Show with David Letterman.” He went on to become an associate producer on ABC’s hit series “Revenge.” He later served as a staff writer on the medical drama “Code Black.”
Brown will not only star in the film but will also serve as producer, with Bongiovi executive producing it.
The film is scheduled for release on December 12, 2025.
