Zayn Malik Shares Rare Photo With Daughter Khai at K-Pop Concert

Zayn Malik gave fans a sweet glimpse into his life as a dad, sharing a rare moment with his 4-year-old daughter Khai during a night out at a BLACKPINK concert.

The Father-Daughter Outing

The former One Direction singer, 32, posted a photo of the two on his Instagram Stories, showing them from behind with their arms raised toward the stage. “@Blackpinkofficial thank you 🙂 Me & Khai loved it ❤️,” Malik wrote over the image.

Khai is Malik’s daughter with model and ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid. The pair welcomed her in September 2020 following an on-and-off relationship that began in 2016. Though no longer together romantically, Malik and Hadid remain committed co-parents.

In a 2020 interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Hadid confirmed she and Malik were expecting.

Hadid publicly announced Khai’s arrival on social media with a black-and-white Instagram post, tenderly captioned, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love🥺💕”

Despite their split in October 2021, the former couple has emphasized respect and partnership when it comes to raising their child.

This past year, Hadid spoke candidly to Vogue about their co-parenting dynamic, saying, “There is the hard part of the world knowing this much, and thinking they know everything. And at the end of the day, we’re not interested in giving everyone our whole story. What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”

She added, “Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”

Malik echoed those sentiments during a rare interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast with Alex Cooper, marking his first public conversation in six years.

“Since I’ve had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is trying to be a good example to her,” Malik said. “That’s why I’m even doing this interview, you know? I used to get a lot of anxiety around having a conversation like this. And I want her to be able to look at me and be like, ‘My dad’s doing this.'”

The “Dusk Till Dawn” singer also spoke about the emotional impact of fatherhood. “I feel like we get to a certain point in adult life where everything is kind of vague and grey and boring, and she’s brought that color back for me,” he said.
