Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, told the story in an October 2014 episode of the talk show “The View.” She recalled how she and Ozzy had encountered Swift while out shopping. When Swift appeared on the show, Sharon asked her about their meeting and if she remembered it.

“Remember the time that we were all out shopping separately and we bumped into you, and I had Ozzy with me, and [our daughter] Kelly was there, and we all had chats in the store?,” Sharon asked Swift, the Daily Mail reports.

Sharon revealed what Ozzy had said about Swift. “Ozzy came away and he said, ‘Finally, out of all these young, new artists, I finally found one that is a true superstar,'” she said.

Sharon recalled how Ozzy had compared Swift to celebrities celebrated for their elegance and poise. “She’s like Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, all rolled into one,” Sharon said of Ozzy’s comments on Swift. She added, “He said he’d never met anyone that had the aura that you have because your aura is one of elegance and just pure, just genuine talent.”

Swift reacted to Ozzy’s words, telling Sharon on “The Talk” how the comments were “the sweetest thing.”

A Final Goodbye to Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy‘s funeral procession was held on Wednesday, July 30, in his hometown of Birmingham, England. The hearse carrying his coffin drove through the city center for fans to get a glimpse and say their final farewell.

Ozzy’s family, including his wife Sharon, their three children, Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, and his son Louis from his previous marriage, attended a memorial site in his honor. It was there that fans had left flowers, notes, and photographs.

The thousands of mourners who had gathered represented just a small percentage of people whose lives Ozzy had impacted.

The funeral was held just over a week after his family announced his death on social media on July 22. In an Instagram post showing Ozzy performing, they informed fans of his passing and asked for privacy. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the family statement reads. “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

Ozzy Osbourne will be missed!
