Sophie Turner took to her Instagram story on Saturday, May 24 and gave her support for her ex-husband Joe Jonas new album.
“Go go @joejonas,” Turner wrote on her social media, along with a Spotify link to his album. Jonas reposted the story and added heart hands emoji in response to his ex’s well wishes.
Jonas released his sophomore album titled “Music For People Who Believe in Love” on Friday.
The “Game of Thrones” actress and the singer began dating in 2016 and got married in 2019, according to PEOPLE. Over the course of their marriage, the then-couple welcomed two daughters, Willa and Delphine.
The “Cake by the Ocean” singer filed for divorce in September 2023, with the divorce being finalized a year later.
Jonas Discusses New Song About Daughters
The 35-year-old wrote the song “Hey Beautiful” for his daughters, as he described in a TikTok that was posted by Entertainment Weekly.
He said the meaning of the song was about “anybody that’s a person that has the joy of being a parent and what they would be like, and the idea that you could be there for those little ones, even though you’re not physically here.”
Jonas described the process of creating the album as a mixture of emotions.
“It was scary at times, and also freeing,” he told Billboard in August 2024. “I’m not trying to come for anyone on this album. I’m not trying to put stuff on blast. I have a beautiful life that I’m grateful for.”
Jonas and Turner Both Struggled Post Split
Jonas recently opened up regarding his dating life after his divorce. While promoting his album, he stopped by Facebook’s TalkShopLive May 21 and described moving on as “intimidating.”
He said he was briefly seeing someone and had to “rediscovering what [love] was.” He added the individual made his realize it was okay to dive back into the dating pool.
“I was seeing somebody at the time and I was kind of having this idea of dating again,” Jonas said. “This person kinda comically, sarcastically was like, ‘It’s only love.’ And I was like, ‘Okay it’s a big deal to me. And a big deal to them. But it’s okay to take a leap of faith and just try again and just put yourself out there.'”
The conversation inspired the track “Only Love” the singer revealed.
Turner briefly spoke out regarding the split in an October 2024 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard,” she said at the time.
Turner ended up dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson for roughly two years, per Page Six. However, the outlet noted the two might have called it quits in April 2025 as she unfollowed Pearson from social media.
