Armando Christian Perez, better known as Pitbull, has taken his Latin roots around the globe and created the bald-e’s movement.
Fans around the world attending Pitbull’s concerts have dressed to impress: black suits, sunglasses and a bald cap.
The attire is a nod at the Miami-born singer’s typical fashion. In a recent interview with BBC, Pitbull shared when the bald-e’s movement began.
“They’re the bald-e’s,” Pitbull said, “because we soar high like bald eagles.”
The Start of the Bald-e’s
“It actually started when the world came out of the shutdown,” he told BBC. “I went on a tour that was called the ‘I Feel Good Tour’ in the States. And you started to see, you know, sprinkles of it. But then when we came over to Europe this year, and …we started in Dublin, and it definitely went to a whole other level. Got to London, and we said, ‘Whoa, went to a whole other level’.”
Despite the trend of attending Pitbull’s concerts in his signature attire beginning years ago, fans are still going strong.
Pitbull, 44, went on to share how much it means to him seeing fans wearing the bald caps.
“For me to see it, it’s an honor,” he continued telling BBC. “It makes me very, very happy. And every time that I’m at the shows, I let them know, ‘Hey, when y’all put on those bald caps, I hope y’all ready to have the time of your lives,’ and to be able to motivate and inspire them and see that…they feel that it’s deeper than just music, like they’re a part of a movement. They have a purpose in what we got going on. That to me is priceless. So to all the bald-e’s thank you I appreciate you.”
Music is powerful, Pitbull said, and it gives people the outlet and escapism. “It’s like therapy. You don’t know what a person’s going through in their life.”
Fans took to the comments section to share their support and love for the bald-e’s movement.
“I love that our generation of concertgoers make concerts more fun for ourselves by dressing up and starting silly trends. It elevates the experience,” one fan shared.
“Such a nice guy, making the world a better place with his feel good music,” another fan commented.
The “Fireball” singer has taken to his Instagram to share videos of fans in his signature look at his concerts.

Pitbull is on his “Party After Dark” tour and is ready to welcome all the bald-e’s.
