Country music icon Miranda Lambert is joining forces with fellow Texas stars to help raise money for flood victims across the state.
The singer shared on her Instagram on Monday, Aug. 11, that she will headline the Band Together Texas concert.
She wrote, “Y’all we’re going to livestream our Band Together Texas flood relief benefit concert so everyone can be a part of an incredible night of music and healing ❤️🤍💙.”
For the announcement, she shared an image of herself with country star Parker McCollum and tagged him as well.
The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Moody Center in Austin. The event will benefit Texans impacted by the severe flooding that hit multiple counties earlier this year. Proceeds will go toward relief and recovery efforts for families and communities still working to rebuild.
Star-Studded Lineup
The lineup brings together some of the biggest names in country and pop music with deep ties to Texas.
Lambert will be joined by McCollum, Cody Johnson and other notable performers.
Additional special guests are expected to appear during the show, including Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid.
The concert will be livestreamed on Lambert’s official YouTube channel and Facebook page for fans unable to attend in person.
She made a previous post about the event and wrote, “Texans helping Texas. My buddy @parkermccollum and I have called up some good friends to help our home state rebuild. Let’s band together y’all.”
Tickets for Band Together Texas are on sale through the Moody Center’s official website. Fans can also watch the livestream on Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. CT, with donation links available during the broadcast.
Lambert Has Texas Roots
“The House That Built Me” singer grew up in Lindale, Texas.
She spoke about her upbringing in a 2023 interview with Gareden & Gun. She recalled growing up in the Lone Star State influences her music.
“I write a lot about where I am from. Lindale is your typical small Texas town. It’s a Friday night football (the Lindale Eagles!), church on Sunday morning, climb the water tower kind of a town,” she told the outlet.
Lambert continued, “Country music has always been songs about rural life, and I grew up that way.
“The music scene in Texas was such a blessing because I was always going to shows in Dallas and Austin—like Willie and Jack Ingram and Wade Bowen shows—to absorb everything I could.”
