Lopez got his fans’ attention on Thursday, June 26, when he posted a throwback photo of himself and Taylor Swift on Instagram. The image appears to be from when the “Shake It Off” singer appeared on “The X Factor” in 2012, and Lopez’s expression and the accompanying caption suggest that he is a big fan of Swift.

Fans of Lopez and Swift will know this is not the first time he has posted a photo of her on social media. On July 28, 2022, he posted another throwback photo of himself and Swift. It appears to have been taken at the same time as the image in his latest post, and they are both onstage, wearing the same outfits. This time, Lopez is speaking into a microphone and Swift is looking at him. “Whatever I was sayin’, she wasn’t amused… #TBT #TaylorSwift,” he joked in the caption.

Lopez has made no secret of his admiration for Swift, and he has previously praised her personality and success. “Taylor is incredibly smart, talented, and a sweetheart of a person. I’ve gotten to interview her a bunch of times. She’s like our Princess Diana out here in America,” he told Women’s Wear Daily in 2023.

Lopez has also commented on Swift and her relationship with Harry Styles. The former couple were first linked in March 2012 and broke up in January 2013. In 2012, Lopez said on his radio show “104.3 MyFM” that he had seen Swift and Styles together at her “The X Factor” rehearsal, USA Today reports.

“Taylor Swift was the special guest performer, and a little inside scoop for you: During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back and said, ‘Hey, Mario, how ya doing?’” Lopez recalled. “And I said, ‘What are you doing here?’ And he sort of [pointed] toward Taylor.” Lopez then confirmed that they left the rehearsal “hand in hand.”
