Mariah Carey Spotted Holding Hands With Musician

Singer Mariah Carey was spotted holding hands with musician Anderson .Paak, according to People.

The magazine reported that the former “American Idol” judge and the musician were spotted on Sunday, March 23, 2025, “while leaving the Birds Street Cafe in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.”

That sighting comes after .Paak accompanied Carey to the iHeartRadio Music Awards, People reported. According to Biography.com, Anderson .Paak “is a multi-faceted musician who sings, raps and plays drums. Rather than limit himself to one genre of music, .Paak creates an amalgamation of sounds that include hip-hop, soul, rock and R&B.”

Added the site, “In addition to his solo projects, .Paak is part of the neo-soul group Silk Sonic, which he formed with singer Bruno Mars in 2021.”

Rumors of a romance between Carey and .Paak first emerged in December 2024, when TMZ reported that they were seen holding hands and going out to dinner in Aspen, Colorado.

At that time, TMZ described them as a “potential new couple,” revealing that they went to dinner at a restaurant called “Catch Steak.”

In fact, .Paak was seen with his hand around Carey’s waist and held the door open for her, TMZ reported. At the time, though, TMZ reported that the pair were not dating.

In January 2024, TMZ reported that .Paak was getting divorced from his wife Jae-Lin, and noted that the marriage seemed to crumble “suddenly.”

The couple have two children, according to TMZ.

According to People, Carey has two kids with her ex Nick Cannon.

TMZ noted that, on the recent night out with .Paak, Carey sported her signature curly hair from the 1980s. According to TMZ, she is 16 years older than .Paak.

People reported that .Paak helped Carey go on stage when she won an icon award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards show.

“Thank you iHeart for this incredible honor,” Carey said on stage, according to People. “As a kid, I used to listen to my favorite artist on the radio and dream of being on the airwave myself. Now, for those of you who may not know what airwaves are, think of it as the non-Wifi version of streaming, OK?”

She added: “Even now I still get excited when I hear one of my songs playing on the radio. It never stops being magical.”
