Page Six says the LSU superstar athlete, who graduated in December 2024, exclusively opened up about the lessons she takes from Taylor Swift about dating in the public eye. “I try to look at her perspective on things and how she handles criticism, how she navigates,” said the 22-year-old. She also pointed out the constant traveling required of pro athletes can strain a relationship.
The SI cover star, who graced the 2025 swimsuit edition alongside the likes of Salma Hayek and Olympian Jordan Chiles, said she admires a lot about Swift. Dunne cited the “Shake It Off” singer’s work ethic as one of her best qualities, saying, “How much she cares about what she puts out there and how the meaning behind everything is very admirable.”

The powerhouse said while she and Swift are both public figures who get a lot of attention, she sees how Swift’s bigger stardom tends to make her a target at times.

The NFL previously put out a statement addressing backlash about Taylor Swift’s screentime during games that read in part, “The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real-time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”
Dunne said of Swift’s love-hate response from NFL fans, “It just really resonated with me. It’s a unique position to be in. And I think for some people, women in sports is uncomfortable for some reason.”
