Lady Gaga’s ‘Wednesday’ Role Revealed — Watch Full Trailer Now

Lady Gaga is ready to show the world her long-anticipated “Wednesday” character! Now, we finally know who she’s playing! During Netflix’s Tudum live event, the pop icon gave fans a thrilling sneak peek of her character. Netflix went on to reveal she will portray Nevermore Academy’s mysterious new teacher, Rosaline Rotwood.

This exciting announcement comes after Netflix confirmed in November 2024 that the “Born This Way” singer would be joining “Wednesday” Season 2. Gaga’s character will appear in Part 2 of the new season, which is set to hit Netflix on September 3, following the premiere of Part 1 on August 6.

Lady Gaga’s Epic Performance

Earlier this year, Gaga gave a small tease to Entertainment Weekly about her involvement in the series but kept her cards close to the vest. “I don’t want to give away anything about being part of the show. I want to keep it extra secret, but I love Jenna, and I really had an amazing time!” she told the outlet.

In true Gaga fashion, the reveal came with an over-the-top and exciting theatrical flair. Which, of course, we aren’t complaining about at all!

At the live Tudum event, she surprised fans by emerging from a gothic coffin emblazoned with the words “Here Lies the Monster Queen.” She performed a chilling medley that included the Addams Family theme song, her 2011 hit “Bloody Mary,” viral sensation “Zombie Boy,” and her newest single, “Abracadabra,” from her latest album, “Mayhem,” which dropped on March 7.

As a special treat, “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega joined Gaga during the performance of “Abracadabra,” sitting at the edge of a long table as dancers moved alongside her. Gaga, in true fashion, belted out the song from atop the table.

New Faces and Returning Favorites in Season 2

Ortega will obviously return as the dark and brilliant Wednesday Addams. A role that catapulted her into global stardom since Episode 1, when the show first premiered in 2022. The new season also features returning cast members Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Fred Armisen, and Haley Joel Osment.

In addition to Lady Gaga, creator Tim Burton brings in fresh faces for Season 2, including Billie Piper, Steve Buscemi, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, and Evie Templeton, all set to play new regulars. With musical mayhem, monstrous secrets, and even more mystery at Nevermore Academy, Season 2 of “Wednesday” is shaping up to be creepier and “kookier” than ever.

2025 is a good year for TV!
