Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, and his family is clearly still coping with the loss. Recently, Jack Osbourne returned to Los Angeles following his dad’s funeral. He was spotted honoring his legacy in a subtle yet unmistakable way while out in public.
According to TMZ, 39-year-old Osbourne was out shopping on August 22. While running his errands, he wore a Black Sabbath T-shirt. Notably, the shirt features the cover of the band’s debut album, which, naturally, includes an image of his dad. The album was released in 1970.
Osbourne also wore a pair of black shorts, white shoes, and a black baseball cap. As is often the case, he also donned a pair of dark sunglasses as he carried a shopping bag on his arm.
Osbourne Broke His Social Media Silence in August
Fans of the rock legend took to social media following his passing to pay tribute to his legacy. Osbourne did the same for his father on August 6. He wrote on Instagram, “I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much. I’m gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches.”
Osbourne continued, “He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be a part of a very small group that got to call him ‘Dad’. My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude.”
The heartfelt tribute continued, “I got 14,501 days with that man, and I know that is such a blessing. I think this quote best describes my father.” He concluded, “I love you, Dad.” Osbourne posted the caption alongside a collection of memories with his father and the rest of their family.
There’s an Upcoming Documentary About His Life
There’s a new documentary about Osbourne’s life, “Ozzy: Coming Home,” that was supposed to air on the BBC on August 18. However, it didn’t air as scheduled and still hasn’t. Initially, no reason was given. Now, time has passed, and it seems they postponed the documentary out of respect for the family.
Per BBC, a statement on the documentary being postponed states, “Our sympathies are with the Osbourne family at this difficult time. We are respecting the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film. The new [transmission] date will be confirmed shortly.”
