Celebrity power couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey are making major real estate moves in Southern California.
The former 98 Degrees frontman and his TV host wife have put their Encino estate on the market for $7.4 million, according to TMZ. The couple originally purchased the gated modern property in July 2024 for $6.7 million, making this a quick turnaround less than a year after moving in.
Their decision to list comes after a whirlwind relocation from Hawaii back to California. The pair had been living in Honolulu while Vanessa starred in “NCIS: Hawaii,” but the show’s cancellation after three seasons prompted their return to the mainland, Realtor.com reported.
The Lachey’s Resort-Style Paradise at Home
The impressive residence spans over 8,000 square feet and features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms across three levels. What sets this property apart is its resort-like backyard amenities, including a sparkling swimming pool, separate guest house, and full-size basketball court.
Entertainment takes center stage in the home’s lower level, which Robb Report describes as featuring “a vaulted safe room, a movie theater, a gym, a recreation room, and a seated bar with a glass-encased wine wall.” The basement entertainment space includes a sleek bar and media lounge, perfect for hosting gatherings.
The heart of the home showcases a chef’s dream kitchen with marble surfaces, soft muted tones, and a spacious butler’s pantry designed for gourmet cooking experiences. High-end Thermador appliances and a large eat-in island complete the culinary space.
Security features prominently throughout the property, with perimeter surveillance systems, the bank-grade safe room, and a three-car garage providing peace of mind for the celebrity family.
From Island Life Back to California Living
The Lacheys’ real estate journey reflects their career changes over recent years. “We thought we were going to do a Hawaii to L.A. ‘travel-on-the-weekend’ thing,” Vanessa told Travel + Leisure in 2022. “We sold our house and now we’ve got Hawaii license plates.”
Their Hawaiian residence, purchased for $8.8 million in 2022, sold for $9.45 million in August 2024. Built in 2017, the 7,732-square-foot Honolulu mansion sits just one block from the beach and features indoor-outdoor living spaces perfect for island life.
Nick, 50, gained fame as the lead singer of multiplatinum boy band 98 Degrees before transitioning to reality television. He currently co-hosts Netflix’s popular dating shows “Love Is Blind” and “The Ultimatum” alongside Vanessa, while also handling solo hosting duties for “Perfect Match.” The Encino listing is being handled by Craig Knizek and Mauricio Umansky of The Agency, according to TMZ.
