More About Toni’s Son, Diezel
Born Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis on March 31, 2003, he is the youngest son of Toni Braxton and musician Keri Lewis. At the age of three, he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
In 2016, Toni said in an interview with Access Hollywood (per DailyMail) that Diezel had been cured of his autism. She claimed at the time:
My youngest son, as everyone knows, my son Diezel suffers from – or I should say suffered from autism. I am one of the lucky parents. Early diagnosis changes everything. I will tell you this. I will shout it from the rooftops.
Toni credited Suzanne Wright, the late co-founder of Autism Speaks, for playing a key role in Diezel’s life-changing progress. She shared that Wright helped connect her with valuable resources, tips, and programs that made a real difference in her son’s journey.
Now, at 22, Diezel shows no signs of autism at all. The singer is optimistic that her son will continue to thrive, especially now that he has a degree.
