After former En Vogue member Dawn Robinson revealed she had been living in her car for three years, her ex-husband Andre Allen told TMZ he is offering her a job.
Allen, who was previously in the music industry, currently works in hospitality, and told TMZ that Robinson is welcome to work at Hilton Brands.
He revealed that he’s happier than ever after having left music and makes more money with the large hotel chain.
The former recording artist told the publication that he’s seen close friends in the music industry suffer from money issues and doesn’t want Robinson to end up in a dire situation. He added that the position with Hilton will give her medical benefits and paid time off to record music.
Allen has been with Holiday Inn Club Vacations since 2017 and works as a sales executive, per his LinkedIn.
Robinson Thanks Fans for Their Support After Sharing Her Video
Robinson took to Instagram to thank fans for their support after she shared her YouTube video on March 11 describing her homelessness.
“FAM! I am OVERWHELMED by the out pouring of love from my Car Life video lol!!! Going viral and breaking the internet was AMAZING!” she wrote in a March 15 post.
She continued, “As I said, my aim was to inspire but some people are worried. Please don’t be. I’ll go into more detail in Ep 7.”
Amid fans’ concern regarding rapper Jermaine Dupre questioning her living situation, Robinson wrote in the comments section, “He doesn’t know me so he’s a non factor. I stay happy,”
She told a fan, “I don’t need or expect sympathy lol! There’s nothing to sympathize about but thanks for ALL the love.”
Many are flocking to help Robinson and content creator Liberty Madison wrote, “Subscribed and streamed your video multiple times in the background so you get ad rev. [We] love you.” Robinson replied, “Awwwww lol! I adore you! Thanks for doing that.”
Madison suggested to fans that they continue to stream Robinson’s YouTube videos so that she gets more views and generates income through the site.
Robinson’s friends are also offering support, and Belle Johnson told Us Weekly on March 13, “I’m sending love to Dawn during this challenging time. My heart goes out to anyone facing struggles.” She continued, “I hope Dawn feels the love and support she needs right now!”
Renay Matthews said to the publication, “Being awake means seeing our confusion clearly. Dawn is clearly on a path to her sunrise and should be supported accordingly.”
