When Coldplay decided to feature fans on the Jumbotron during their Music of the Spheres World Tour, they could never have guessed what would eventually happen.
During the band’s July 17 concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Coldplay included a kiss cam segment, and at one point, the camera landed on a suite where Astronomer CEO Andy Byron had his arms around HR executive Kristin Cabot, exposing their alleged affair.
So that brought into question whether the band would continue this part of the concert. And Chris Martin answered that during a show at Craven Park in the United Kingdom on Monday, Aug. 18.
“We are so happy to be here. Many of you have written signs. So, I’ll take some time to try and read some signs. Then we’ll see what happens,” Martin told the crowd, according to HullLive and NME (via PEOPLE).
The artist began reading the signs in the crowd including one that stated a fan had attended the concert “three times in three months.”
“You were at that Boston gig,” Martin responded. “Well, okay, thank you for coming again after that debacle.”
“We’ve been doing [the Jumbotron] a long time and it is only recently that it became a… yeah,” he added. “Life throws you lemons and you’ve got to make lemonade. So, we are going to keep doing it because we are going to meet some of you.”
Lionel Messi Playfully Caught on Coldplay Kiss Cam During Miami Show
During Coldplay’s July 27 concert at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Lionel Messi was in attendance with his wife and was even featured on the infamous kiss cam.
In the video, the two waved to the audience.
Chris Martin then dedicated a little song to the soccer star, singing, “Lionel, my beautiful brother. You and your wife are looking so fine. Thanks for coming today to see our band play, the number one sports person of all time.”
Morgan Wallen Joked About Coldplay Concert Scandal During July 18 Show
Country artist Morgan Wallen joked about the cheating scandal that was exposed during Coldplay’s concert during his show in Glendale, Arizona, in July.
“Anybody in here with their side chick or whatever, I think you’re safe here,” Wallen joked with the crowd in a video shared to TikTok. “I don’t condone cheating … anymore.”
Wallen is currently traveling on his “I’m The Problem” Tour, which began in June.
