Christie Brinkley showed her support for ex-husband Billy Joel after he announced he was diagnosed with a brain disorder.
The 71-year-old shared a heartfelt Instagram post Saturday where she expressed her well wishes for the “Piano Man” singer.
“The whole Brinkley gang is sending you lots of love and good wishes for a full and speedy recovery,” Brinkley wrote.
Brinkley added a video of her daughter Sailor, who she shares with ex-husband Peter Cook, singing “You May Be Right” to Joel backstage at one of prior concerts along with a few other clips during the his performance.
“I was looking for some cute photos of you and Alexa to send you, when I came across this clip from a recent concert. It made me laugh ..but it also reminded me of all the joy you create, and all the sensational sing a longs you’ve lead… you turn an arena of strangers into a living room full of friends as we all sway in unison,” the model continued.
The two share daughter Alexa Ray Joel, 39, and were married from 1985 to 1994.
Brinkley added, “I’m sure I’m speaking for everyone in that room when I say please take good care of yourself, we all want you back in that white hot spotlight,you’re OUR piano man.”

Alexa Ray Joel posted her own sweet tribute to her dad on Saturday, May 24. She praised his strength and shared her thanks for the fans who have had an outpour of well wishes.
“We love you and we got you, Pop!” she began.
“My Dad is the strongest and most resilient man I’ve ever known… and he’s entirely committed to making a full recovery with ongoing physical-therapy treatments as he continues to regain his strength. The genuine care, empathy, and concern from everyone means so much to him… it means a lot to me, too,” Alexa Ray Joel added.
Joel’s daughter is a singer as well and often accompanies him during his concerts.
The 76-year-old also shares two daughters with his fourth wife Alexis Roderick: Della and Remy.
The Music Legend Cancels His Tour
The singer announced he was suffering from Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus and would be forced to cancel his upcoming concerts while he recovers.
The announcement noted performing made his condition worse, and he is now undergoing physical therapy.
“I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding, Joel said in the post.
