Beyoncé suffered a scary onstage incident when her red car prop alarmingly tilted to one side during her “Cowboy Carter” show on June 28 in Houston, TX.

As the singer descended from the ceiling on the car as she performed her single “Sixteen Carriages,” the prop appeared to malfunction in a dangerous way. See video footage captured by a fan below.

The megastar made it safely to the ground and was able to laugh off the startling event, telling the crowd she knows they would “catch me” if she ever falls.

People posted several still photos of the car in the air mid-lean.

Beyoncé Told Crew to Stop Show

People’s report of the incident says the mother of three exclaimed “Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,” into her mic as the car malfunctioned. The story says she stayed calm, telling her fans “Thank y’all for your patience.”

The outlet says they learned from Hot New Hip Hop that Queen Bey briefly took a break and disappeared from the audience’s view before returning to the stage.

The magazine says the cause of the malfunction is undetermined as of publishing on June 29.

Beyoncé Is Used to Onstage Mishaps

It’s not surprising Beyoncé stayed so calm during the car malfunction in Houston. Throughout her career, the singer has dealt with a number of unexpected incidents while performing.

In one unforgettable instance, her long hair was caught in a moving fan as she performed her hit song “Halo” at the Montreal stop of her “Mrs. Carter World Tour” in 2013, per the BBC. The popstar’s longtime bodyguard, Julius DeBoer, was on hand to help free her from the tangle, eventually resorting to snipping the hair with a pair of scissors. The singer never stopped singing throughout the snarl.

The songstress penned a hilarious rewrite of the hit song which she posted to her Instagram after the show. Her new lyrics said, “Gravity can’t begin to pull me out of the fan again. I felt my hair was yankiiin, from the fan that’s always hatiiiiin. Virgin Remy & Malaysiaaaan.”

Another time that proved Beyoncé always stays calm and professional in the face of chaos was when Ashton Kutcher pranked her on his MTV reality show “Punk’d” with a falling Christmas tree.

The star was invited to perform at a Christmas tree lighting, and just as she reached to place the star on top of the tree, the crew maneuvered it to crash to the ground.

Beyoncé nervously smiled before hilariously checking her nails as a child actor below screamed, “You ruined our Christmas!”
