Frankie Grande Gave Ariana A Shoutout In Return
Following Ariana Grande’s sweet messages, Frankie Grande sent her an emotional message back on his own Instagram Stories. The post read, “You have been such an incredible and beautiful part of this journey.”
Grande then made a joke about his over 7 years of sobriety, saying, “Wouldn’t be 7.5 minutes sober if it wasn’t for your love and support. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for helping me get my life back. I am so happy and emotional. I love you.”
Grande previously told “The Today Show” that he decided to get sober after the bombing at his sister’s 2017 concert in Manchester caused him to have “a rock-bottom moment” that changed his outlook on life and made him realize “it was time to get help.”
Frankie Grande Was On Broadway Before Turning To Music
Before starting his musical career, Frankie Grande was a Broadway performer for over 20 years, according to his Playbill credits.
His roles include parts in the shows “Mamma Mia!,” “Rock Of Ages,” and “Born Yesterday.”
Grande previously talked to Billboard in 2015 about being on Broadway, and called Franz in “Rock Of Ages” his favorite role.
“I had three final callbacks for that role before I booked it — it was something that I’d dreamed of. I wanted to play that role. I love that show. Plus, I got to play the last Franz ever on Broadway, because I closed the show. It was just such an unbelievable set of circumstances — I can’t imagine it being topped,” he revealed.
He also said he attended college, where he was a pre-med major before pivoting to chase his showbiz dreams.
