Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols—one of MTV’s most well-known “The Challenge” couples—just expanded their family again. The reality TV stars, already parents to three young children, announced the arrival of their fourth baby, officially making them a family of six.
Jenna Compono and Zach Nichols Welcome Baby Frankie
On Sunday, Aug. 10, Compono, 32, revealed on Instagram that she had given birth to the couple’s newest daughter, Francesca “Frankie” Rose Nichols.
“🎀 I’d like to introduce Miss Francesca (Frankie) Rose Nichols 🎀,” she wrote, sharing that Frankie was born at 4 a.m., weighing 7 lbs., 4 oz., and measuring 20 inches long.
The proud mom posted a photo of her newborn sleeping peacefully in a cream knit outfit with ruffles, complete with a matching bow hat. A second image showed Compono in a hospital chair, cradling Frankie, while Nichols, 37, pointed at a wall calendar listing the names of babies born that day.
Their “The Challenge” co-stars quickly flooded the comments with congratulations. Brad Fiorenza wrote, “She is gorgeous!! Congratulations💪❤️,” while Nurys Mateo added, “She’s so precious 🥹 congrats you two ❤️🙏🏽.”
Frankie joins big siblings Carmella Jean, 17 months, Liliana Marie, 2, and Anthony Joseph, 3. Back in January, Compono announced her pregnancy with a playful Instagram post showing the couple’s three kids sitting under numbered balloons reading “1,” “2,” and “3,” with a sonogram and “Coming Soon” sign under a “4” balloon.
“Because 3 kids wasn’t chaotic enough 🤣,” she joked in the caption. “Baby #4 coming August 2025 👶🏻♥️.”
Compono also shared a lighthearted moment from the hospital before Frankie’s arrival, posting an Instagram Story of Nichols sleeping face down on a recliner, legs dangling off the edge, with the caption: “Goodnight Zach 🤣.”
‘The Challenge’ Love Story MTV Fans Have Watched for Years
Compono and Nichols’ relationship has been a storyline on “The Challenge” ever since they met while filming “Battle of the Exes II” in 2014. Their romance had its ups and downs, including a split before Compono’s appearance on “Champs vs. Stars” in 2017, when she left the competition with a fractured ankle.
Nichols admitted during the show that her departure hit him hard.
“It’s actually incredibly heartbreaking to see this,” he said at the time.
Compono also confessed that leaving meant more than just exiting the game.
“Me and Zach, we just have a connection. We get along, we laugh,” she explained. “But honestly, I think for Zach, it’s out of sight, out of mind. And when I’m not around him, he can kind of get over me. So I don’t want to get sent home because I would miss being around him.”
After months of speculation and flirty Instagram interactions, the pair made their relationship Instagram official in 2018. In a heartfelt caption, Compono reflected on their journey:
“Love isn’t practical… It might pair you with someone you might never have expected. It’ll put you face to face with endless obstacles. But in the end, none of that will matter because it’s how you overcome its obstacles that will define your love.”
