Kris Jenner is making sure her mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, knows just how much she is cherished. In honor of MJ’s 91st birthday, the Kardashian family matriarch posted a loving tribute on Instagram, calling her mom the “heart and soul” of their family.
“Happy birthday to my mommy MJ!!!” Kris began her post. “You are truly the heart and soul of our family… the most incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother we could ever dream of.”

Kris Reflects on Her Mother’s Enduring Support
Kris also called MJ her “rock,” writing, “You have always been my biggest cheerleader and confidant… You are forever my role model, and I’m blessed beyond words to call you my mommy.”
MJ, who welcomed Kris at age 20 with her second husband, Robert Houghton, has been a beloved figure in the Kardashian family. Kris’s children adore her: Kim, Khloé, Kourtney, Rob, Kendall, & Kylie.
Kris Has Been Open About MJ’s Health Challenges
In a past episode of “The Kardashians”, Kris revealed that MJ’s health had been a growing concern. “I know my mom struggles with so much right now because she is 90 and she’s frail,” Kris said, getting emotional as she shared that MJ had been in too much pain even to reach the kitchen for two days.
Fighting back tears, Kris added, “It just gets to the point in life where you can’t be by yourself anymore. It makes me sad… You never know when somebody’s going to need you.”
A Mother-Daughter Bond That Continues to Inspire
Despite her health struggles, MJ remains a guiding light for Kris. On MJ’s 90th birthday last year, Kris described her as “thankful for everything, expecting nothing,” and praised her work ethic and generosity.
“You taught us by example. God has blessed us with 90 years of beautiful you, and I thank Him every single day for another precious day with my best friend,” she continued. “Thank you for all you do for all of us and for every single fabulous moment and memory that I cherish.
