Jesus Guerrero’s Sister Grateful to Kylie Jenner for Paying Funeral Costs

A day after Kylie Jenner posted an emotional tribute of her hairstylist and good friend Jesus Guerrero on Instagram, Jesus’s sister, Gris, has provided an optimistic update to the GoFundMe she launched. She confirms that Kylie has not only stepped in to pay for the funeral, but offered whatever help she can give the family going forward. “She wants his memory to be honored and wants to do as much as she can so he gets the farewell he deserves,” Gris told Us Weekly.

She Promises That the Money Raised Will Still Be Used to Help the Family

Gris recognizes that Kylie and Jesus loved each other like family, and she’s relieved that Kylie is covering the funeral. But, she also acknowledges that there’s much more to consider and care about due to Jesus’s sudden passing. “Donations raised through this fundraiser will go toward the costs associated with securing his belongings home,” she wrote in an update to the GoFundMe. “As well as other unexpected expenses to settle his assets. With his death being so unexpected there are many things that weren’t set up for a time like this.”

She also hints that some of the $96,000 will go to their mother while she takes time off to make sure everything Jesus left behind or unfinished gets taken care of — and also to grieve, “because a mother should never have to bury her child,” she added.

She Praised Jennifer Lopez For Urging Jesus To Go To the Doctor

Since the news of Jesus’s passing, many have wondered what exactly happened, and Gris provided a few answers. “We have been able to track every one of his steps, but we don’t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness,” she told “Us.” “It all happened suddenly and no one knows why.”

The realization that Jesus was in Dubai working with Jennifer Lopez days before his passing made many wonder if something happened there. Gris confirmed that he was told that he looked ill upon arriving in Dubai and that he should rest and see a doctor. “I am very grateful for everything she [Lopez] did [for him],” Gris said. “To go to the doctor and not to work and to get rest.”

Sadly, Jesus was determined to get home, despite being sick. When he got back to the United States, he went to the hospital, where he succumbed to his illness. “That’s part of why there are so many unanswered questions because nothing they had done was able to prevent this from happening,” Gris said.
