Zooey Deschanel wished her fiancé Jonathan Scott a happy birthday on social media, featuring some sweet moments and an even sweeter caption. See what the “New Girl” actress said about the HGTV star on his big day!
Zooey Deschanel Celebrates Jonathan Scott’s Birthday
On April 28, Deschanel took to Instagram to share some sweet words for Scott’s birthday.
“Happy birthday to the person who makes each day a joy to live,” she wrote in the caption. “Jonathan — you are practically perfect in every way 😍.”
The actress included some candid photos of Scott and a video of him playing bagpipes.
Scott responded, “Thank you. You make me feel so loved 🥰.”
Awww!
There was a flood of birthday well wishes from fans in the comments, including, “Happy Birthday, Jonathan! You two are blessed with each other ❤️ great humans!”
Another fan wrote, “Happy birthday, Jonathan! I hope it is magical and filled with so many cakes!”
Scott also posted on Instagram on his birthday. He captioned a photo of himself: “Though 47 looks different for each of us, I think we can both agree. The journey just keeps getting better and better. 🥰 thank you for all the birthday wishes.”
The ‘Property Brothers’ Share a Birthday
Jonathan’s brother, Drew Scott, shares the same birthday, so he also gave a shoutout to his twin on their big day.
He captioned a series of photos of the two: “Happy birthday to my womb mate, best friend, and partner in crime! Thanks for always having my back. Love you, J—but I’lll NEVER stop making fun of your questionable hair choices. 😜”
He included one pic of Jonathan sporting a blonde flop of hair while working on a home renovation.
On April 15, Drew took to Instagram to share the story of the brothers becoming HGTV stars. This included a timeline from early childhood, through their early businesses, and eventually to real estate and home renovation.
Drew explained, “My original career goal was pursuing acting and directing. Ironically, I kept getting host auditions as a real estate expert and zero acting auditions. A sign from the universe?”
Jonathan and Drew came up with the idea for “Property Brothers,” but it was “turned down left and right” before they finally got a yes. After some success, HGTV was interested in the show — and it took off from there.
“I can’t believe it’s been 14 years since we started ‘Property Brothers’ and that we have 575+ episodes (and counting!) under our tool belts!” Drew noted.
