With many homeowners looking for inspiration as winter officially turns to spring, HGTV is bringing back some of its most-loved shows and stars, from the “Property Brothers” to “Rock the Block.”
Here’s EntertainmentNOW’s spring 2025 update on every new or returning program that is currently airing or about to premiere, as well as which shows are back to filming — or have been put on the back burner.
New Spring 2025 Seasons of HGTV Shows Underway

Home Town Takeover:
Beloved HGTV couple Erin and Ben Napier kicked off the third season of their spinoff series, “Home Town Takeover,” on March 9. The six-week series chronicles how they — along with a bevy of other HGTV stars — breathe new life into the small town of Sebring, Florida. Catch it on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
“Fixer to Fabulous”
Jenny and Dave Marrs are busy juggling farm life, family life, and renovating homes throughout Bentonville, Arkansas, in the sixth season of “Fixer to Fabulous,” which premiered on January 7. There are still several episodes remaining, airing on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
“Renovation Aloha”
The second season of “Renovation Aloha” starring Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama kicked off on February 18. The 10-episode season, following the homes they flip in Hawaii, airs after “Fixer to Fabulous” on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
“Married to Real Estate”
Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson’s fourth season of “Married to Real Estate” premiered on March 12. The 12-episode season follows them renovating homes in the Atlanta area while also running their businesses and raising their daughters. Catch new episodes on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
8 HGTV Shows Set to Premiere in April 2025 (Updated April 5)

“Fix My Frankenstein” — Premieres April 2
Nearly two years after the first season of their show aired, Denese and Mike Butler will return with a second season of “Fix My Frankenstein” on April 2. The eight-episode season, following the Boston couple as they renovate homes with wonky layouts and failed fixes, will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
“Flipping 101” — Premieres April 3
A third season of “Flipping 101,” starring longtime HGTV personality Tarek El Moussa, will premiere on April 3. With nearly 1,000 house flips under his belt, El Moussa will teach rookie renovators how to make money while avoiding the pitfalls often made by first-time home flippers, the network said. The 11 -episode season will air Thursdays at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
“2025 Smart Home Giveaway Special” — Premieres April 4
Former “Rico to the Rescue” designer Poonam Moore and “Married to Real Estate” star Mike Jackson will co-star in a one-time special on April 4 to unveil HGTV’s “2025 Smart Home,” which the network will award to one lucky viewer. The one-hour episode airs at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
“Rock the Block” — Premieres April 14
HGTV’s most popular competition series is back for a sixth season, premiering on April 14. Ty Pennington is back to host “Rock the Block,” with two teams of HGTV “veterans” — Alison Victoria with Michel Smith Boyd and Jonathan Knight with his brother Jordan Knight — going up against two rookie teams — Chelsea and Cole DeBoer of “Down Home Fab” and the Kalamas from “Renovation Aloha”. Starting on April 14, the seven-episode season will air Monday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
“100 Day Dream Home” — Premieres April 15
On March 19, HGTV announced that the fifth season of Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt’s Tampa-based show, “100 Day Dream Home,” will return with six new episodes on April 15. That’s a shorter season than most of HGTV’s top series get, so it’s possible the network will air other episodes after the initial six-episode run. The six episodes will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
“Love It or List It” — Premieres April 21
The 20th season of “Love It or List It” will look a bit different than fans are used to. Premiering on April 21, the new season will feature longtime HGTV personality Page Turner replacing the show’s original designer, Hilary Farr, who announced in December 2023 that she was leaving the show. Starting on April 21, Turner will compete with longtime star David Visentin on the eight-episode show, airing Mondays at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
“Vacation House Rules” — Premieres April 26
On April 4, HGTV announced via social media that Scott McGillivray will return in a new season of “Vacation House Rules” alongside designer Debra Saldoni. While the show is airing sooner in Canada, viewers in the U.S. can catch the premiere on April 26 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
“Castle Impossible” — Premieres April 29
On April 3, HGTV announced a brand new series,” Castle Impossible,” starring married couple Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira as they renovate a 500-year-old French chateau they inherited from her grandfather. The show premieres on April 29 at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
Many HGTV Stars Are Currently Filming New Shows

Drew & Jonathan Scott — “Chasing the West”
HGTV announced in February that “Property Brothers” stars Drew and Jonathan Scott have been filming a completely new series, “Chasing the West,” set to premiere in the summer of 2025. Building on the years they spent growing up on a cattle ranch in Canada, the twins will work with clients who want to trade in city living and give ranching “out west” a try. The show is being filmed in California, Arizona, and Texas.
Erin & Ben Napier — “Home Town”
As their spinoff “Home Town Takeover” airs, the Napiers have begun filming the ninth season of their flagship show, “Home Town,” in Laurel, Mississippi. It’s not known when the season will premiere.
Dave & Jenny Marrs — “Fixer to Fabulous”
The Marrs also began filming their seventh season of “Fixer to Fabulous” in March 2025. Though a premiere date has not been set, the Marrs told EntertainmentNOW that they’re excited to dive into new stories and some “crazy,” unexpected projects.
Alison Victoria — “Sin City Rehab”
While Victoria appears on the latest season of “Rock the Block,” she’s also filming a brand new show in Las Vegas called “Sin City Rehab,” set for a late 2025 debut. The eight-episode series will see Victoria make “the biggest gamble of her career as she expands her successful design business out West,” per HGTV.
Kristyn Patterson & Pancho Patterson — “Condemned”
In February, HGTV announced a new series, “Condemned,” will premiere in summer 2025. The eight-episode freshman series will feature father-daughter duo Pancho and Kristyn Patterson as they restore Detroit homes that were “destined for the wrecking ball.”
Tarek & Heather Rae El Moussa — 1 Episode of ‘The Flipping El Moussas’
Though the second season of “The Flipping El Moussas” aired in February and March, Tarek and Heather El Moussa posted in their Instagram Stories on March 18 that they were filming the season finale — an episode that got delayed due to permit issues with a final house they’ve been renovating. Given that Tarek’s show “Flipping 101” is returning with 11 episodes instead of a typical 12, we suspect the finale of “The Flipping El Moussas” will round out the schedule and air after his show’s run.
Jasmine Roth — “Help! I Wrecked My House”
After moving from California to Utah and giving birth to her second daughter, Jasmine Roth is ready to rock again. The builder’s maternity leave ended on March 18 and she began filming a new season of her show, she shared on Instagram. HGTV has not announced when the new season might premiere, but based on renovation timelines, the best guess would be late 2025 or early 2026.
Cole & Chelsea DeBoer — “Down Home Fab”
The South Dakota couple wrapped filming the third season of “Down Home Fab” in February. The couple spent six months filming, but HGTV has not announced when the new season will air.
Other Shows Renewed With Unconfirmed Premiere Dates
Though premiere dates have not been announced, HGTV has been filming several other popular series. In June 2024, the network renewed Retta’s hit series “Ugliest House in America” for a sixth season, but it’s not clear if filming has wrapped. The same is true for comedian Jack McBrayer’s “Zillow Gone Wild,” which was renewed for a second season in December with a 2025 premiere expected.
Which HGTV Shows Have Been Canceled or Remain Up in the Air?

As EntertainmentNOW reported in late 2024, multiple HGTV shows will not be returning including “Rico to the Rescue,” “Home in a Heartbeat with Galey Alix,” and “Building Roots.” Meanwhile, Kim Wolfe confirmed in February that her show, “Why The Heck Did I Buy This House?” is officially over.
Another freshman series from 2024, “Small Town Potential” is unlikely to return after designer Davina Thomasula told an Instagram fan that she and Kristin Leitheuser’s show had not been renewed by HGTV.
After two seasons, Christina Haack confirmed in January that her series “Christina in the Country” would not be returning, given the drama surrounding her divorce from third husband Josh Hall, who was part of the show and is living in Nashville, where the show was filmed.
Haack recently celebrated on Instagram that she was enjoying a “temporary retirement” during her first break from filming in 12 years. Given the popularity of her other series, “Christina on the Coast” and “The Flip Off,” it’s highly likely she’ll be back to filming soon.
The future of several popular shows remains up in the air, too. Though Jonathan Knight will appear on the new season of “Rock the Block,” HGTV has not announced plans for a fourth season of his show, “Farmhouse Fixer” with designer Kristina Crestin or the spinoff that aired last summer, “Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp.”
Knight had a busy 2024 touring with New Kids on the Block and will be in Las Vegas periodically in 2025 for the group’s residency there. Interestingly, casting is taking place for a new HGTV renovation series in Las Vegas specifically featuring New Kids on the Block fans. No official word yet on whether Knight is involved, but it’s a pretty safe bet he is!
Meanwhile, many fans have wondered what happened to “No Demo Reno” starring Jenn Todryk. The designer and social media influencer revealed in early March that while the door remains open at HGTV, she’s been too busy to film new episodes of the show, which last aired new episodes in December 2023.
