“The Flip Off” stars Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa are sharing how they make great teammates as competition partners and in marriage.
During a January 2025 interview with Us Weekly, alongside Tarek El Moussa’s ex-wife Christina Haack, the couple, who wed in 2021, shared their secret to a successful relationship in their personal and professional lives. As fans are aware, the El Moussas also star in the HGTV series, “The Flipping El Moussas.”
Tarek El Moussa said that his “goal is always to make sure that [his] wife’s happy and [he is] doing things that please her.” Heather Rae El Moussa then quipped that she “make[s] sure [she is] always happy and that he’s doing things to please [her].”
“What’s great about Tarek is that he knows when to say sorry. We’re really good at apologizing and not letting things linger,” continued Heather Rae El Moussa.
Christina Haack Spoke About Her Dynamic With Her Ex-Husband & His Wife
During the Us Weekly interview, Heather Rae El Moussa and Haack spoke about their dynamic. According to Heather Rae El Moussa, she and Haack, who also stars in “The Flip Off,” “don’t fight.”
“She picks on Tarek all the time, and then I jump in. But he takes it well!” said Heather Rae El Moussa to Us Weekly.
Haack also said that her ex-husband, the father of her eldest children, Taylor and Brayden, “loves to be teased.
“When he’s in a bad mood, if you tease him, it lightens him up,” said Haack during the interview.
Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa made similar comments during a January 2025 interview with Access Hollywood. Heather Rae El Moussa said she did not have any issues filming with Haack on “The Flip Off.”
“We had fun with it because we get along. And we’re not picking on each other. But [Tarek is] easy [to tease],” said Heather Rae El Moussa.
Haack agreed that her ex-husband is “just easy to make fun of” because he is “always doing something odd.”
Christina Haack Said Her Ex-Husband & His Wife Were Supportive After Her Breakup With Josh Hall
During the Access Hollywood interview, Haack briefly spoke about her now-estranged husband, Josh Hall, leaving “The Flip Off” after their July 2024 split. She said that Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa were supportive of her while she navigated her breakup with Hall during the production of “The Flip Off.”
“They were super supportive. And we talked about it in advance. They knew we were having issues,” said Haack to Access Hollywood.
She also said that filming “The Flip Off” “was easier without” Hall.
“We had more fun. We were able to joke around,” said Haack during the Access Hollywood interview.
Haack also said she had difficulty filming with Hall during a November 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight. According to Haack, Hall did not like her dynamic with Tarek El Moussa. She suggested Hall viewed their friendship as “flirty.” She said, however, that she and her first ex-husband have a sibling-like relationship.
