‘Rock the Block’ Rocks- But Here’s What You Haven’t Seen

The competition on “Rock the Block” has heated up, with three episodes and three different teams scoring wins so far.

But even if you’re one of the huge number of fans who have tuned in every Monday to watch the designers go head-to-head, you haven’t see everything.

HGTV has posted a behind-the-scenes look at season six on YouTube that gives fans and inside peek at just what it takes to knock out the massive renovations in just six weeks.

In the nearly 12 minute video, each team talks about their strategies to win not just the room-by-room challenges, but the whole competition.

Rock ‘Rock the Block’ Style the Easy Way

If you’re loving the style the designers are bringing to their homes this season, shopping the look couldn’t be easier.

Whether you love Jonathan and Jordan Knight’s Modern Farmhouse vibe, the DeBoer’s Cowboy Contemporary, the Kalamas Moody Modern or Alison and Michel’s Refined Rustic look, you can shop everything from small accessories to large furniture pieces on Wayfair’s “Rock the Block” page.

The page has items divided not only by episode but also by the teams. So if you liked something from episode 3 but can’t remember whose house it was in, you’re covered.

In fact, each episode has a QR code at the end. Scan it and you’ll go right to the Wayfair Rock the Block homepage

Home Style is Easy, But Personal Style is Another Matter

While you’ll find plenty of home decor inspiration on season six of “Rock the Block,” you likely won’t find a lot of fashion inspiration.

You may have noticed that everyone on every team is wearing the same thing every episode. No, that’s not your imagination. That’s a production strategy.

Contestants from previous seasons of “Rock the Block” have addressed this in the past.

In a 2022 Facebook post, “Fixer to Fabulous” star Jenny Marrs wrote, “The other big Rock the Block question we keep getting: do we really wear the same outfits the entire six weeks?

The answer is yes! We all wore the same clothes the entire time. We each brought several shirts and jeans and did a lot of laundry. The reason behind the outfit consistency is to help the editors out. If we changed each day, it would have been so hard for them to edit the show and keep track of who was wearing what on which day in which room. This kept things more consistent for them and made it simple for us when getting ready each day.”

Seasons four and five star Page Turner put up an Instagram video addressing her lack of wardrobe variety as well, writing, “Here’s a quick & funny Rock the Block PSA – Ya’all won’t break MY soul asking why we wear the same outfits on #RocktheBlock Errrrr’day! 🤣🤣😜 It’s all for editing! That’s it, nothing deep and no TV tricks 🤣🤣”
