“Love It or List It” star David Visentin has an impressive new achievement to add to his resume, and it has nothing to do with real estate.
The HGTV star just completed the Barrie Triathlon. And better than that, he came in third in his age group!
In an Instagram post, 60-year-old Visentin put up the Barrie Triathlon results in his age category of 60-64.
The results show Ilias Konstantopoulos finishing first, John Willet coming in second and David Visentin, bib number 1061 finished third.
In his post, David wrote, “Congrats to the two that kicked my butt and everyone else that showed up. I think the trick in life is just not to stop. I learned that from my dad Nicky! Great day at the MultiSport Barrie Triathlon!”
David Visentin’s Triathlon Results By the Numbers
The Barrie Triathlon includes a 750 meter (about a half mile) swim, a 20 kilometer (approximately 12-and-a-half miles) bike ride and a 5k (about 3 miles) run.
While David Visentin didn’t post his times, a quick check of the results on SPORTSTATS shows that out of 233 men competing in all age groups, he finished 58th overall and third for his specific age group of 60-64.
The “Love It or List It” star completed the swimming portion in 12 minutes and 56 seconds, the biking portion in 35 minutes and 55 seconds and the running portion in 25 minutes and 26 seconds.
His total time for the race was 1 hour, 18 minutes and 18 seconds.
How David Visentin’s Results Compare to the Overall Winner
The overall winner in the men’s division for the Barrie Triathlon was “Jessey the Elf.”
He competed in the 30-34 age group and finished with an overall time of 58 minutes and 37 seconds, less than 20 minutes faster than David Visentin.
World Triathlon lists Jessey the Elf’s (real name Ben Sayles) birth year as 1994, meaning he’s about half David Visentin’s age.
David was also less than five minutes behind the winner in his age group. Ilias Konstantopoulos finished 39th overall in the men’s division with a total time of one hour 13 minutes and 29 seconds.
His new “Love It or List It” co-star, designer Page Turner was quick to congratulate him, commenting, “Amazing DV!!!! You’re always #1 to me!! 👏👏👏”
David Visentin Says He Gets Inspiration from His 90-Year-Old Dad
In the post about his triathlon results, David Visentin pays tribute to his 90-year-old dad Nicky. He says his dad taught him “the trick in life is just not to stop.”
David Visentin’s Instagram account is full of videos sharing time with his dad. Most recently, those include watching him compete in a recent arm-wrestling contest. Nicky competed with Jessica, the former Ontario Provincial Champion. While Nicky lost that match, David couldn’t beat her either.
