Jonathan Scott & Zooey Deschanel Travel to Australia
On April 8, Scott and Deschanel took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse at their Australia trip. Deschanel kept the caption succinct, writing, “Made a lot of new friends.”
In the first pic, she and Scott posed awkwardly alongside a koala. The HGTV star shared Deschanel’s post on his Instagram Story, joking, “The koala will always remember this moment.”
The actress included other photos of animal scenes and a boat ride video that showed a view of the Sydney Opera House.
Scott posted a series of videos and photos as well, including one of the couple looking rather disinterested about the koala beside them. “First time of what will be MANY good times in Australia … we absolutely loved it,” he captioned the post.
The HGTV star included a video giving his take on the opera house, saying, “It’s a pretty impressive building, not gonna lie. I want to climb it. I don’t think they’ll allow that.”
Actor William Shatner weighed in on one of the couple’s photos, writing, “That first pic looks like you both are … 🥱 … so interested …😝”
Scott responded, “Haha. A very Wes Anderson vibe to this pic 😂.”
Model Tyra Banks commented, “Can’t wait [for the couple’s return],” and Scott replied, “Thanks for the ice cream and fun times in Sydney. So nice to see you.”
Fans Gave the Couple a Warm Welcome, Offered Suggestions
Fans lit up both of their posts with comments and plenty of warm welcomes to Australia, including, “Welcome to Sydney Australia, you have to go see the Blue mountains, it’s amazing this time of year.”
One fan shared another suggestion, writing, “Welcome! I hope you have an amazing time here! Make sure you get up to the barrier reef if you want outstanding beauty.”
Another wondered, “Did you guys climb the bridge? I’m sure if you found the right person you could climb up the top of the opera house. There is a doorway on top of one of those things.”
Another fan pitched an HGTV show idea. “Can you please speak with Drew and see if the ‘Property Brothers’ can do some fixer uppers here down under in Sydney?” they asked. “Just a thought, which I think is a good one. Enjoy your stay in Sydney guys.”
