Jonathan Knight may have some time on his hands now that “Farmhouse Fixer” wasn’t renewed for another season by HGTV, but is he using that time to go back to school?
The New Kid on the Block just posted a video on his Instagram account that starts with his face pressed up against the back window of a school bus as it pulls away.
In the video, Jonathan says, “You’re probably wondering how I got here. So let’s back it up a bit, so it all makes sense.”
The designer’s rewind then shows him in pajamas in bed, with an alarm going off in a dark room. He groggily walks to the bathroom as his voice over explains, “I never got to finish school. So I decided to give it one more shot.”

In the Instagram video, Jonathan straps on his brand new LL Bean backpack and heads to the bus stop, saying, “If I remember this correctly, all I have to do is walk out to the street, and the bus will magically appear.”
Jonathan finds himself standing beside a little boy in a ballcap who asks, “So what are you, the New Kid?”
That kid turns out to be a bit of a bully, pushing Jon out of the way as he goes to get on the school bus.

While Jonathan Knight might have some time on his hands until The New Kids on the Block return to Las Vegas for the second leg of their residency November 1-15, it doesn’t seem like he’s being serious about a return to the classroom.
The video is just a tongue-in-cheek bit of fun as part of the singer’s partnership with L.L. Bean, promoting their backpacks.
In fact, in the video, Jon points out, “This pack is not only stylish, but there’s plenty of room for all your school supplies. And if you’re an adult like me, there’s plenty of room to carry all your adult stuff.. like your overdue bills, your arthritis medicine and of course, that journal of your unfinished dreams.”
Jonathan Knight Is Taking Full Advantage of His Summer Break
The “Rock the Block” designer seems to be getting the most out of his newfound leisure time.
Jonathan has put up several posts this summer on Instagram of his Eastern European vacation in Croatia. That includes one that shows a video of him in the ocean, sporting a dramatically shorter haircut. He appears to be keeping the new shorter style in his “back to school” spoof video.
In fact, Jonathan’s Instagram account features several posts of video and pictures tagged Korčula, Croatia.
One of those posts includes the caption, “Recharge batteries ✅ Enjoy some time with Harley and friends ✅ Experience new corners of the world ✅ An amazing journey is soon to end and time to devote my energy back into the farm. Looking forward to getting my hands back in the soil and my feet on solid ground.”
