Jenny Marrs Teases ‘Another Big Milestone’

Jenny Marrs Shares Journey of Her Next Big Project

Marrs has been hard at work on her next book — and she’s got a big announcement on the way.

On June 1, Marrs took to Instagram to share a 2022 text message exchange with her college house mom. The “Fixer to Fabulous” star reflected on how much her support meant to her and wished she could have shared her next big project with “Mama Tay.”

Marrs wrote, “A little over one year ago, after two long years of work, I emailed my first draft of my new manuscript to my editor. The relief I felt in that moment was palpable (granted, I didn’t know it then but there was still a long year of work ahead — but — this was a huge milestone in the process).”

She continued, “After hitting ‘send’ on the email, I texted my dearest people letting them know that the eighteen chapters, 50,000+ words, were written. They were the ones who had cheered me on and prayed for these words all along the way.”

Marrs Remembers ‘Mom-of-My-Heart’ Who Meant So Much to Her

Marrs shared how important her house mom had been in her life. “The one person I really, really wanted to tell was my beloved Mama Tay,” she wrote. “The mom-of-my-heart, who, over two decades ago, was my house mom in college and who continued to text me and pray for me every single day.”

The HGTV star noted how Mama Tay “was the first one I asked to pray before I began writing.”

That request was met with prayers, but sadly, she couldn’t continue her daily communication with this beloved woman. “Her prayers covered these pages and I wanted her to know the first draft was finished. But, as of that April morning, she had been with Jesus for six full days.” Marrs wrote. “She once told me that she loved to talk to God about me. The fact that I knew they were sitting together talking about me face-to-face fills my heart with joy.”

Marrs praised Mama Tay as “one of my greatest cheerleaders earth side,” noting that while she is missed, “I know there’s no where else she’d rather be than right where she is.”

The HGTV star shared, “I won’t get the phone call or the text that I would have received had I finished seven days sooner, but I have no doubt she’s smiling while dancing on streets of gold in celebration.”

Marrs added, “Now, a year later, I have another big milestone to share tomorrow … See you right here for the news.”
