Jenny Marrs Adopts Two Cows: Meet Buttercup and Bella
On August 11, Marrs took to her Instagram Stories to share the arrival of two cows to the farm.
“Char came in and got us because there was a ‘big surprise’ she wanted us to see!!” Marrs noted over the video of Charlotte leading the way. “She didn’t let us put on shoes because there ‘isn’t time’!”
In the next clip, Charlotte shared the names of their new cows and Marrs provided a little of the story behind their most recent adoption.
“They’re here! Two new cows! Our neighbor wanted to sell these two ladies because they’re angus but not the black angus that sells best,” she explained.
Marrs continued, “So, as we do, we brought the two ‘unwanted ones’ to the farm!”
She added, “Char picked them up with Dave and named them. Buttercup and Bella.”
The HGTV star shared a video of the cows being unloaded, writing, “Welcome home girls!”
Her daughter took over filming for a moment to share the animals getting used to their new space. Marrs noted that Char “is so excited.”
She added, “We will move them in with Minnie once they settle in. Hopefully, they’ll take her in and the three girls will be pals!”
The Marrs Family Recently Adopted Minnie
On July 18, Marrs introduced her followers to the “rescue cow” that her husband brought home, explaining how she “didn’t fit the standards for the cattle farm” because she was “too small” and “too different.”
She noted, “But, here? Here, you are enough.”
Marrs shared, “Today, you are sad and confused and scared. You left everything you’ve ever known. You were taken to a strange pasture with strange animals and humans.”
She went on to explain how they would work to earn the cow’s trust. “We know it’s going to take more than gentle words and yummy treats. We know it’s going to take us showing up, day after day,” she wrote. “It’s going to take sacrifice on our part. Time and energy and love poured out. And, without a doubt, we know it’s going to be worth it. We can’t wait to watch you flourish here, little one.”
The HGTV star added, “Welcome to the farm, Minnie!”
