Jenny Marrs ‘Overwhelmed’ by Fan Response Following Emotional Post

Jenny Marrs‘ fans showed their support for the HGTV star after she shared a vulnerable post on Instagram. The “Fixer to Fabulous” star thanked them for their kindness as she moved forward with a big celebration in her life.

Jenny Marrs Was Grateful for Her Fans’ Support

On March 24, Marrs took to Instagram to give an update after her previous day’s post, when she shared that she had read “vile hatred” about herself online.

“You guys. I can’t get over the love you literally flooded me with yesterday,” she wrote in the caption. “I read every message and word of truth with deep, deep gratitude. I feel overwhelmed by it all.”

The fan support and a fun day celebrating with family definitely lifted her spirits. “And, in the midst of receiving such encouragement, we had the absolute sweetest day. We surprised my parents with a 50th anniversary party!” she wrote.

Marrs continued, “50 years. These two have built the foundation of faith and love and zeal for adventure our family is built upon. I couldn’t ask for better role models for a beautiful marriage, intentional parenting and a genuinely fulfilling life.”

The timing wasn’t lost on her, given that she had felt so emotional the day before. “And, certainly, the timing of this joyful celebration was no coincidence. God knew all along that all of this was in store,” she wrote. “The hard and the immensely good. All mixed together with light and love shining brightly into the dark shadows. This is the good stuff. 🤍✨”

HGTV Star Found It Difficult to Handle Hateful Comments

On March 23, Marrs opened up about how hateful comments online had impacted her. “Yesterday, I happened upon some really hateful words written about me on the good ole’ internet,” she wrote. “Reading through the thread, I went down a deep dark tunnel online of vile hatred. I was shocked and so deeply hurt.”

Marrs continued, “I truly don’t understand how strangers could feel so passionately about things like my voice (I can’t change this), my paint choices (take a breath folks, it’s paint), my sarcastic jokes (I’m sorry, I’m sarcastic, I always have been and always will) and my parenting (I won’t even get into how hurtful and disgusting this line of reasoning was).”

She said the comments left her feeling “hurt,” “really sad,” and “really angry.”

The HGTV star struggled with navigating the situation and eventually found her way out of the darkness through the support of her “SOS people” and her faith.
