A couple featured on an episode of HGTV’s perennial hit “House Hunters” in late July has gone viral after the network shared clips from the show on its TikTok account.
In the “Cougar Needs a Den for Her Cub” episode, which premiered on July 26, 2025, Sara and Jack were billed as a “very unique” couple with a 30-year age difference, looking for a home in Sacramento, California. In one of the clips posted by HGTV, Sara, 52, said of the age gap between her and Jack, 22, “we don’t feel it.”
Viewers have had a field day on social media, leaving funny comments about the couple’s obvious sexual chemistry, age difference, and unique reasons for needing a new place.

The first preview video HGTV posted, which has been viewed over 1.1 million times, featured Sara and Jack talking about their relationship. Aware that some might question their 30-year age gap, he said, “I don’t care if anyone judges us, they can go focus on their own relationship.”
The lovebirds met when Jack complained to Sara, who worked at a storage facility, about ants in his storage unit. She recalled, “We just kept smiling at each other and talking. Immediately after our first date Jack moved in, that day.”
“She’s really attractive and she seems like she’s my age when I talk to her,” Jack said, and Sara made several (ahem) suggestive comments about him being an “alpha male” and “nice and bulky.”
After being together for eight months, the couple decided they needed a house with a large gym so Jack could train to be a professional mixed martial artist. In a separate TikTok video HGTV posted, he also said he needed a large yard for a “beeble” — a bulldog and pit bull mix — which Sara admitted was an obsession of Jack’s that drove her “crazy.” Nevertheless, she agreed to buy a condo with a dog park so his pup could play.
The comment sections on social media have been filled with funny reactions from viewers, including one who wrote on TikTok, “no man falls in love faster than a man who needs a place to live”
Someone else on Instagram wrote, “This was one of the most uncomfortable episodes ever. Lol”
“Oh this is SO destined to last 😂,” someone else quipped.
Even Texas drag queen and real estate agent Rubydickulous, who was featured on another episode of “House Hunters,” chimed in, “Oh boy. 😂”
Social Media Comedian Madison Humphrey Hilariously Spoofed ‘House Hunters’ Episode
One of the reasons HGTV’s clips of Sara and Jack’s episode of “House Hunters” have gone viral may be because online influencer and comedian Madison Humphrey filmed and posted a spoof of the episode, pretending to be a 60-year-old cougar with a 20-year-old beau.
One of her fans wrote, “I saw that HH episode & was like WHAT IS GOING ON?! Your version is accurate. 😂😂😂😂”
When her fans discovered Sara and Jack were a real couple, not just a figment of Humphrey’s imagination, they began commenting on HGTV’s posts, in shock.
One comment on TikTok — “I thought Madison Humphrey made this skit up….” — has over 10,000 likes.
