‘Home Town Takeover’ Sneak Peek: See the Ambitious Sebring, Florida Makeover in Action

Erin and Ben Napier‘s “Home Town Takeover” is coming to HGTV soon and fans are getting a first look at what’s in store in season 3. The Napiers have their work cut out for them as they tackle renovating businesses and homes in the town of Sebring, Florida.

‘Home Town Takeover’ Breathes New Life Into Florida Town

In a March 3 Instagram post, HGTV shared a sneak peek at “Home Town Takeover,” giving a look at what the Napiers did to help turn around a struggling town.

“Sebring, Florida is getting a #HomeTownTakeover 🐠,” the caption explained. “See how Ben and Erin help bring this community back to life on the season premiere starting Sunday, March 9 at 8|7c!”

“This is where we are for ‘Home Town Takeover’ season 3,” Erin said as they stood beside Lake Jackson outside of Sebring, Florida.

In the preview, Ben noted, “You have a lake, you have a race track, you have a park that is a circle in the center of town. And yet, somehow, Sebring is struggling.”

In the video, they get to work renovating buildings that were desperately in need of a refresh. “We’re going to take on a downtown that is literally falling apart,” Ben shared.

“We’re using everything we’ve learned and everything we know to try to keep this town’s heart beating,” Erin added.

Ben and Erin Napier Explain How They Determine What to Renovate

In a May 2024 interview with People, the Napiers shared just how important it is to have community members on board with the renovation process. “You have to have the community buy-in,” Erin said. “This community has to be excited.”

Ben added, “This is something we learned from our own experience in Laurel. You can’t restore a town expecting the dollars coming from tourists. You have to depend on the locals, and then anything that comes from outside is gravy, it’s extra.”

He also shared how they do extensive research in determining what they will renovate. “How do you get locals to rediscover the magic of downtown? We look at what businesses are going to have the best legs,” Ben said. “What’s going to last?”

Erin said they also consider “what might already be doing well, but would do so much better when it’s beautiful.”

In terms of doing home renovations in the town, Ben noted, “We look to the people are are doing the most good in the town.”

Erin added, “You have to help the people who are her for their community. That’s the only way small town American survives.”
