Heather Rae El Moussa and Christina Haack aren’t your typical first and second wives.
And now the HGTV designers are taking their growing friendship to the next level in a new, joint Instagram post that shows their unique bond.
The video shows a montage of fun times the two have shared, taking trips to Las Vegas, shooting videos for Heather’s makeup and lifestyle brand, and bonding over shared experiences.
The video caption reads “Wait… you married a man with two kids and actually get along with his ex?”
In the post, Heather El Moussa writes, “Let’s just say we’re not your average blended family. #holyairball“
And Christina Haack comments directly underneath, “Love our crazy / beautiful blended family 🩷”
Christina Haack’s ex-husband and Heather’s current husband Tarek El Moussa jokingly indicated that he wasn’t as enthusiastic about the friendship, putting up a humorous comment using just the emojis “👀😬”
Heather El Moussa & Christina Haack Have Formed a Tight Friendship
Since starring together on “The Flip Off,” which pitted Christina Haack against Heather and Tarek El Moussa, the women have formed a tight bond that seems to be growing.
Heather and Tarek traveled to Las Vegas with Christina and her boyfriend, Chris Larocca, to celebrate Christina’s 42nd birthday.
They’ve also vacationed together with their entire blended family, including Tarek and Christina’s kids Taylor (14) and Brayden (9) and Heather and Tarek’s son Tristan (2.)
They’ve also gone on double dates with Tarek and Chris Larocca.
In an Instagram post about one of those double dates, Tarek writes “The girls made us….. 👯♀️.” But Christina comments, “Actually one of my fav couples to double date with… never a dull moment. 🤣”
Chris Larocca backed girlfriend Christina up, commenting, “Two very lucky guys right there….”
Heather El Moussa Hopes to Team Up With Christina Haack on HGTV
Both the El Moussas and Christina Haack have had shows cancelled by HGTV for the upcoming season.
Christina’s “Christina on the Coast” and Tarek & Heather’s “The Flipping El Moussas” were not renewed.
But the competition show that pitted Christina against Tarek and Heather- “The Flip Off” – has been renewed for a second season.
And Heather says she wants to mix things up in season two, teaming up with Christina against Tarek.
In an interview with People, Heather says,“I think that it would be super fun. I think that people would love to see Christina and I working together and beating my husband because he thinks that he could beat us, especially in a design contest,” Heather enthused.
In fact, Heather says she and Tarek have even talked about the idea.
She told People, “The other night, I was picking on [Tarek] about something and we were going back and forth. He’s like, ‘I could beat you guys,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, really? You think you could beat us in a design-off?’ And he said, ‘Yes.’”
Heather says she responded with dismay, saying, “Are you crazy? Against two designers?!”
Production hasn’t started on the second season of “The Flip Off” and no timeline has been announced.
