Dave & Jenny Marrs Say Next Season of ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Will Get a Little ‘Weird’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Fans of HGTV’s hit show “Fixer to Fabulous” were over the moon to see Dave and Jenny Marrs filming their first big home “reveal” of season seven on May 22, 2025. But the new season won’t just focus on typical home remodels. In the next season, the beloved Arkansas couple told EntertainmentNow, they’re excited to get a little “weird” and shake things up a bit.

The Marrs posted a brief video on social media with their film crew on May 22, standing outside a newly renovated home that will be featured on the show. That milestone means filming is well underway for the seventh season, mere weeks after HGTV aired the show’s season six finale.

Jenny captioned the video by writing, “We’ve been hard at work on season 7 of Fixer to Fabulous and we have our first reveal of the season TODAY! We can’t wait to show you everything we’ve been working on (this really is going to be such a fun season)!”

Although an exact date hasn’t been announced, she added, “See you on your televisions sometime this fall (as soon as we have an air date, I’ll let you know 😉)!”

Jenny Marrs Says Next Season of ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ May Include Some ‘Weird Things’

The seventh season of “Fixer to Fabulous” will still include “the regular, tried and true renovations” on local houses, Jenny told EntertainmentNow as production was starting in March, but added, “This season, we’re trying to do some different things. We’re just, like, looking at things that are a little bit unique or a little bit unusual. I can’t say what it is, but we’re looking at just weird things. We’re like, “Hmm, that’s weird, but why not?”

With the success of the show, the Marrs have “a little more say” in what gets featured on the show these days, Jenny said, and noted that their aim is to always “tell good stories” and “not just a before and after.”

“I think that’s one of the biggest things that I hope sets our show apart is, and that’s what we like to do, is tell the stories of our families, our homeowners, and the homes they live in,” Jenny explained. “The stories are what is compelling and important and what you want.”

“So we’re really trying to make sure the homes and the projects we choose are unique and interesting, but also that we are able to tell some good stories that are encouraging and hopeful and all those things,” Jenny told EntertainmentNow. “Because, you know, there’s a lot of hard things in the world, and we want our show to be something that people can turn on and feel joy when they watch.”

Even when “Fixer to Fabulous” does share stories of families who’ve gone through significant challenges, she added, “we want to still be able to see the hope in it, and that there’s always joy, and there’s always life, even in hard situations.”

Dave Marrs Says Another St. Jude Makeover is Also in the Works

Fans can also expect to see more of the charity tie-ins that the Marrs and their five kids are so passionate about.

“We’re trying to figure out another St. Jude project,” Dave said, alluding to the makeovers they’ve conducted alongside their friend Jay Cobb, who was a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a child.

It started with a playground build in season five, but in a season six episode that premiered in January, the Marrs crew pitched in on a 24-hour renovation for a family whose mom and young daughter had been diagnosed with cancer back-to-back. Jenny shared on Instagram at the time that the episode was “probably the one Dave and I are most proud of in all our years of doing this.”

Dave told EntertainmentNow, “That one was so important, not only to me and my family and my kids, but just to all the people that work with us — the subcontractors, our brand partners, just everyone wants to help.”

As a general contractor, Dave said, he’s witnessed that “sometimes the work they do and the guys we work with, you know, get into a rut of like, ‘Does it matter? Does this even matter? You know, just building house after house after house.’ And it does.”

“So like Jenny said, to have a really compelling story, we’re really making that a huge focus of this year,” he said of the coming season. “You know, like, let’s tell some incredible stories of people that are doing great things, people that have gone through tough challenges but are, you know, still striving to move forward. And, yeah, maybe if we can make this world a little bit smaller and the community a little bit stronger, I think we could all use that.”
