HGTV‘s Jenny Marrs loves animals. Maybe too much, according to her husband, Dave Marrs. Dave wondered if his wife’s obsession with rescue animals might be a little too much, given the amount of food he had to buy recently.
Dave Marrs Thinks Jenny Marrs May be Too Obsessed With Rescue Animals
On August 16, Dave took to Instagram to share a photo of bags of animal food piled high. “At what point do you realize your wife’s obsession with rescue animals has gone too far?😳💸💰” he asked in the caption.
Fans were quick to comment, supporting Jenny’s obsession because of all the good she does. “Nope Never,” one fan noted. “Jenny has a heart of gold.”
Another follower cheered, “Go Jenny go! There’s a whole side of that trailer that’s still empty.”
“She’s doing God’s work, they’re called Angels🙏🏼,” another fan commented. “She’s also a Hero who wears many capes, she’s called MOM!”
When one fan wrote, “Too far? Anything for animals,” Dave responded, “Exactly what @jennymarrs would say.”
Another person advised, “Ignore the expense, 😂 just look at the smile on your wife’s face and the joy bursting from her heart. You get 100 times more value in that. Are you convinced? Yes you are!!”
One fan reminded Dave that he’s contributed to his wife’s rescue animal collection. “Didn’t you surprise @jennymarrs with Minnie?” they wrote.
Dave & Jenny Marrs Rescued Minnie the Cow
On July 18, Jenny introduced her followers to the newest addition to their family — a cow named Minnie.
“Oh, Minnie. You didn’t fit the standards for the cattle farm. There, you were too small. Too different,” she wrote in the caption. “But, here? Here, you are enough.”
The HGTV star continued, “Today, you are sad and confused and scared. You left everything you’ve ever known. You were taken to a strange pasture with strange animals and humans.”
She promised that their family would earn the animal’s trust by “showing up, day after day” and providing time, energy and love. “And, without a doubt, we know it’s going to be worth it,” she wrote. “We can’t wait to watch you flourish here, little one.”
Jenny also added a special shoutout to her husband, writing, “And thank you to @dave.marrs for the best surprise today (after a very long week) — a rescue cow? Yes, please. Always.”
On August 11, Jenny took to her Instagram Stories to reveal two new rescue cows joining the farm.
“They’re here! Two new cows! Our neighbor wanted to sell these two ladies because they’re angus but not the black angus that sells best,” she shared. “So, as we do, we brought the two ‘unwanted ones’ to the farm!”
