Daphne Reckert and Ian Figueira have given HGTV fans some truly magical home renovation moments on “Castle Impossible” this season. However, watching the popular series isn’t the only way viewers can experience the stunning Chateau de Lesigny; the property also serves as a wedding venue. But what does a wedding at such a unique estate cost?
As the chateau’s official website details, couples have almost five acres worth of the beautiful property to enjoy as part of their wedding festivities. Event packages start at around $3800 US, and guest allowances are generous. The chateau can accommodate up to 350 guests for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, and 250 guests for a seated dinner during a reception. If you’re interested in just a standing cocktail hour instead of a formal meal, you can host up to 300 guests for your special day.
The Wedding Business Has Been in Place at Chateau de Lesigny For Decades
As Country Living shared, the “Castle Impossible” couple took the reins of Reckert’s grandfather’s wedding business when she inherited the property, a business that had flourished for decades. As part of the HGTV series, the couple have even made some updates specifically geared toward keeping the wedding business running smoothly.
For example, they created a children’s room to cater to the many youngsters that attend events at the chateau. “I want them to leave with magical memories,” Reckert said of the space. Chateau de Lesigny even features a beautiful chapel on the grounds, making the picturesque estate an even more perfect place to tie the knot.
Partnerships With Vendors Makes Planning Easy
Of course, securing a venue is just one of the many steps involved in planning a wedding. However, the “Castle Impossible” property makes it easier to check all the boxes on your to-do list. From gourmet caterers to talented photographers, the estate offers a plethora of recommendations on its website. In addition to the basics, couples can also find multiple unique options for their weddings, such as fire and light shows.
If the chateau sounds like your ideal venue, you may want to act fast. As Reckert told TV Insider before “Castle Impossible” aired, the wedding business has been on a steady rise since they inherited it. “I managed to triple the amount of weddings we were booking per year,” she shared at the time. “We’re doing about 80 weddings a year now.”
