Longtime Hallmark star Will Kemp tends to keep his personal life private, very rarely sharing photos of his family on social media.
So when the “My Sweet Austrian Holiday” star posted a snapshot with his son on December 8, 2024, his colleagues were stunned to see how much his youngest child has grown, now taller than his famous dad.
Will Kemp Celebrates ‘Swan Lake’ Anniversary With Teenage Son
As a teen, British-born Kemp was a classically-trained dancer with the Royal Ballet who landed a role in Matthew Bourne’s original and highly-acclaimed production of “Swan Lake,” per IMDb.
On December 9, Kemp attended the show’s 30th anniversary celebration and brought his teenage son Indigo, who goes by “Indy” and was born in 2008, according to Just Jared. Kemp included a photo of them together at the event as part of a series of snapshots from the night.
Kemp wrote, “Took my son to the Ballet to Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of ‘Swan Lake’ last night @sadlers_wells Gala! (Still can’t believe we created this show almost 30yrs ago?!? 🤯) Congratulations @matthewbourne13 @mbnewadventures on this stunning and mesmerizing production, now powerfully performed by the Next Generation of dancers. Loved meeting up with Swans past and present ! 🦢📸🥳”
While many fans and friends celebrated the dance company’s milestone, Kemp also heard from colleagues who couldn’t believe how much Indy has grown up.
Fellow Hallmark star and close friend Rachel Skarsten wrote, “He’s a full grown man, how did this happen?! 😍😍”
“Hannah Swensen Mysteries” star Victor Webster commented, “He’s so big now. Damn!!”
Actress January Jones, who co-starred with Kemp on the 2020 Netflix series “Spinning Out,” chimed in, “Omg Indy! He’s a grown man! 😩 ❤️”
Actress Barbara Sammeth added, “I cannot get over how gorgeous & TALL indigo is ! Sending all my love to my 2 fabulous men 💋❤️⭐️”
Will Kemp ‘Often’ Takes His Family on His Travels
Kemp also has a daughter, Thalie, born in 2005 to him and his wife Gaby Jamieson. Though their kids haven’t grown up in the public eye, they have likely met many of Kemp’s co-stars over the years.
During a 2023 Facebook Live promoting “The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango,” Kemp told co-star Lacey Chabert that he “often” takes his family when he travels for film shoots, but didn’t bring them to Malta for that particular Hallmark movie.
“I often get to bring my family … but didn’t on this trip,” he said, adding that he’d love to take them there since it’s “close-ish to the U.K.”
The family member who gets the most attention on social media is the Kemps’ Halvenese dog, Elvis. On an episode of the “Love & Lattes” podcast in December 2023, Kemp lifted the pup onto his lap for snuggles.
“He is the most loved member of the family by far,” Kemp quipped. “He sits at my feet while I do all these (interviews).”
